Last Day of Work in 2010

Today is our last day of work in the year 2010. I am looking forward for a better career in the years to come. I can say this year of 2010 is very fruitful and I am happy with it. We are still waiting for our contract after becoming Gold Certified and I hope when we sign it we will have bigger smile. I don't know which path to go but it looks like destiny is bringing me where I need to be. I just hope in the future I would be able to work without a headset, not talking all day with different customer, hehehe. I still want more challenge when it comes to my career but I want something new. I pray to God to lead me so that I will go no wrong.

Happy New Year everyone!

Heart of Worship

(For so many months I haven't attended church and it seems like I am forgetting my first love. This is the cry of my heart as the year ends.)

When the music fades
And all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart

I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
All about You, Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about You Jesus

King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

I'll bring You more than just a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
All about You, Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about You Jesus

Its all about you
Jesus

Chrismtas Eve

Our Christmas eve was very quiet. I cooked some of the food for our noche buena. I cooked spaghetti, fried chicken, menudo and caldereta. We have lots of food on the table but only few of us. My dad is having drinking session with Tito Joe and Tito Pip outside my mom's house. My brother Darwin and his wife, Rica, are also there but they just slept on Christmas eve because they don't have rest yet from work. My husband and my little girl are also asleep. It was me, my mom and David who are there in the kitchen. My brother Dennis and his family was not able to come. Me and my mom had chitchat and we played with David's new remote control car. The whole neighborhood is very quiet and I don't hear any christmas song. We slept at around 4am I think. In the morning my husband and David leave and went to our house. Tito Joe and Tito Peter decided to go to Batangas. My mom and dad supposedly should come with them but changed their mind. My Dad left the house also with his kumpares. It was me, my mom and Rhaine who was left. We are hiding inside the house because of lots of carolers. We are pretending nobody is in the house, hehehe. We just talked all day, have a nap and browse the web. We planned to go to the mall but decided not to leave. It was really a quiet Christmas for us... a rest I would say for me. I am hoping that the coming new year celebration would be more fun! Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas 2010

I don't know what is the reason I don't feel or I am not that excited about Christmas. Is it true that its for kids only and not for adults? I guess one thing that affects me is my environment. We don't have christmas decor at home and I only see few houses with christmas lights. Also I guess not having much to spend for the holiday affects me. They say Christmas is not about giving gifts but rather remembering birth of Jesus Christ. This is also time to be with your family to celebrate and be thankful for the great year. But still I feel sad for not having money to buy gifts for my friends and loved ones. I was not even able to buy gifts for my kids (this is the saddest part for me). Haaaysss....

When I got married 5 years ago, we always spend Christmas with my husband's family. It is because only in this season my mother-in-law would go home from Hongkong. This time she is not coming to the Philippines, I know this is quite sad for my husband and his sisters. But because of this I asked my husband to spend christmas eve with my parents. I know its going to be a memorable night since my brothers with their family will also be there. Merry Christmas to all! Goodbye 2010!

2010 Christmas Party at Endaya Cove

Its a yearly celebration that we had with my tito and tita, my cousins and other relatives from my mom's side. Before it was held at my Tito Vic's residence in Quezon City but since their private resort in Batangas, Endaya Cove, was finished it was always held there. I guess it is also more convenient for my lola since its near their house rather than travelling from Batangas to QC.

Every year we are excited with foods, gifts, raffles and different prizes and of course seeing our relatives. It was a lunch invitation but my dad doesn't want to travel late due to traffic so we left Cavite at around 6:00am. We are the first batch to arrive. Good thing some food are already cooked so we had our breakfast. During lunch time lots of people arrived. I knew some of them but most of them I don't. I think other people in Batangas are also invited. The weather is not that cooperative, it was raining and the kubo and space to cover are not enough. It find it too crowded specially during the raffle. We are at one place since it was raining. Not everyone is called in the raffle unlike before, everyone have gifts. I guess because of too many visitors. They give away four cherry mobile cellphone for the grand prize. My little boy got sad because he was one of the kid who did not receive a toy from the raffle. I find it also disappointing. The crowd are uncontrollable specially when kids are asked to fall in line for money give aways. Everyone are going in front even adults whom should not be included. Haays... it was a headache. Anyways I am still thankful for what we got and the good food. Both my Kuya won cellphone in the raffle. I just hope that next year if they will invite others I hope they would make things more organize. I want to thank Tita Milet for the big teddy bear for my little girl and transformer robot for my little David.

Christmas Party at Work

Last December 11 we had our Christmas Party at work. It was different from last year retro party, this time its like a family day. All of us are allowed up to bring 3 person, either family or friends. The venue was held at our basketball court. My son is excited to come when I told him Jollibee would be there. When we arrive my son saw the giant inflated slide and a small inflated balloon where kids can jump. Almost the rest of the party he was sliding and jumping. There are also goodies for kids like cotton candy, hotdog on stick and popcorn. There is also booth for small games like basketball and shoot the ring. Face painting for kids is one of the activity as well. My son actually had a glittered scorpion on his right arm. Chicken with spaghetti from Jollibee was served for everyone. Staff of Jollibee entertained us with their games and dance with Jollibee and Hetty. Overall I would say my kid did enjoy it but it doesn't feel like Christmas party to me. Its more of a fun fair for kids. I guess those employees who doesn't have kids will not really enjoy. Most of the employees are expecting party and not a family day. Anyway I am thankful that my kid did have fun.

Gold Certified

At last! After reading a lot... (promise a lot of power points and knowledge base) I was able to pass Gold Certification at work. That is the 3rd level. First is bronze, 2nd is silver followed by Gold. Another movement in my career. One of my plan for next year is to have a morning shift. I guess it is no longer possible. As I undergo the process of Gold Certification I also have pending application for a Service Analyst Position in the morning shift. I guess it is God's will. I submitted that application since October and was about to be interviewed this December but was cancelled. One of my team mate says 'Once a tech, always a tech.' I am trying to change my path but I guess destiny is leading me where I need to be. Goodbye to morning shift... it will be another year of talking over the phone... wew.

Thanks Giving Day in Baguio

Since we support business hours in the US we don't work on Thanks Giving Day. Our team then decided to celebrate it in Baguio. I've been there maybe 3 or 4 times but still I enjoy the cold weather. On our way to Baguio our bus got a problem I think with the break. We decided then to wait for the replacement bus. I can't remember where we stopped to wait but then I think we leave that place around 3 or 4pm. Then we stopped at SM Rosales where we had our dinner. I was able to buy Popo (Jollibee is not available) stuff toy from Jollibee for my little girl. Due to the hassle we arrived at Baguio at 12 midnight. That is our first night. Our breakfast the following day are purefoods cheesedog, egg and tasty bread. Hot coffee and milo are also served. We are able to visit Botanical Garden, The Mansion, Good Shepherd, Minesview and then we went to SM instead because it started to rain. Mr. Egay cooked beef with brocolli and adobong liempo for dinner. I was not able to join them with the drinking session because I fall asleep. I guess due to tiredness. Also its very relaxing to sleep with the cold weather. For our last day our breakfast is friedrice, egg and tocino. We went to Burnham park and do boating and biking. We also visited a playground beside the park where our kids enjoyed playing. Afterwards we visited strawberry farm and meet at SM Baguio before we went home. Unfortunately the aircon of our bus got problem causing us to stop several times. We stopped again at SM Rosales for our dinner and again due to the hassle we arrived at SM Bacoor around 1am. I call my mom and dad to pick us up. I enjoy the trip but I hope we've stayed longer. I am still longing to have another vacation there and next time with more time and more pocket money hehehe.

Love my Bob Cut Hair

I posted before that I am planning to have my long hair cut shorter. I think I was still in college the last time I had that. I was thin then and that is why I am hesitant to do it because it may no longer fit me since I am a little chubby now. (hehehe) Anyway I like it. Its easier to manager, easier to shampoo and easier to comb. Most of all I feel young. wow!

Driver's License Renewal at LTO near Alabang Town Center

Two weeks ago I accompanied my husband to renew his driver's license. We live only few minutes going to
Alabang Town Center so we went there instead of going to Las Pinas or Imus LTO. It cost us almost 1K for the drug test and for the renewal fee. It took us about two hours to finish everything. He now has his new license which would expire after 3 years.

Next year we are planning to buy a 2nd hand car before we move to our new house. I hope our budget will be enough to get an old car or maybe an owner type jeep. I asked my husband if he still knows how to drive, he said it would be easy to recall once we have our own vehicle. I hope our plan will take into place and he will be able to use his new driver's license. ^_^

Early Christmas Bonus

Hooray! Our 13th month was given along with our payout this mid of November. I thank God for this early bonus. Unlike my officemates who bought different gadgets, me I used it to pay a lot of things. I was able to pay debts, utility bills, tuition fee, our house etc. Our birthday is coming this Saturday and Sunday, me and my husband. We are planning not to prepare food since we are going to join our officemate next week to visit Baguio City. We will spend a little money there instead for our celebration. I've been there 3 or 4 times, what I really enjoy their is the cold climate. We are still thinking if we will bring baby Daniel with us. See you soon Baguio!!!!

Lunch at Taalena

Last Sunday, November 7, we are invited to go to Tagaytay to have lunch because it was my niece (Anne Keren) birthday. We attended worship service first at Lighthouse in Alabang before we went to Tagaytay. I remember I ate their before with my mom and dad but I think its name is not Taalena. Maybe the restaurant now has a different owner. I don't know. Anyway the view is very amazing. You can see the beautiful Taal volcano in the middle of the lake. The food are also delicious at the right price.

House Visit

Yesterday my mom and dad accompanied us visiting our new house. We have a scheduled visit to check the house and file for any complain. David, my little boy, is excited to move in. He said he wanted to have a room with her little sister. He is also very happy when he finds out that our bathroom has a shower, hehehe. Its only a small house but at least it would be something we can call our own. Right now we are just living in a small room at my mother-in-law's house. We've been staying their for more than 5 years now. Me and my husband are also excited to move.

Some of the complains that we file are cracks on the wall, broken faucet, a hole in the roof, unable to fully open main door due to unlevel flooring, rusty door knob, meralco post not yet ready... etc. We were told our complain should be fix within two weeks. While waiting for it I would ask my husband to process the Meralco application.

Good Gift for my Brother

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of SPOT. All opinions are 100% mine.

My brother Dennis is a mountaineer. He is very adventurous, loves hiking, going to different places and really loves being with nature. On our computer before I saw a compilation of his trips. Picture of being on top of the mountain, swimming in the falls, going to mouth of Mt. Pinatubo, a volcano that erupted before in 1991, different beaches, I even saw him having picture with a tribe of people living in the mountains. Because of this hobby he was able to travel to different places and knows a lot people. He works now as a tour guide to mountaineers and he also do package trip to different places.

I am sure the SPOT Satellite GPS messenger would be a good gift for him. At least with SPOT his wife and my mom will have lesser worries because they will have better communication with him. He does have a cell phone but in some hidden or far places most of the time there is no signal. SPOT uses 100% satellite technology so wherever he goes he will be able to communicate with just a push of a button.

I would be great to get SPOT this holiday season because it comes with a bonus adventure kit worth $50. The kit includes a coupon for 15% off basic service, a custom form fitted case for spot, a micro LED flashlight, a bandana with safety tips written on it, durable lanyard to hang SPOT, safety whistle and a carabineer keychain.

Notice of Turnover

Last week I received a "Notice of Turnover" letter from Prosperity Builders Resources Inc. Our house was approved by Pag-ibig in August and I started paying Pag-ibig the following month. In the letter it was mention that if I will not pay the turn over fee and sign the turn over papers it will be considered as constructive acceptance. Which means they are no longer liable for any loss or damage of my property. I can no longer file a complain to them to fix what ever is defective in our house. Thanks to my mom and dad who accompanied us going to Baclaran, where Prosperity office is located.

We arrived there around 3:30pm and we were told that their cashier is already closed and go back instead on Nov 2. Haayss... Good thing we went to the 6th floor and find out that the cashier is still open. We are able to pay and process the turn over. Still I am not satisfied with their service. The guy who assisted work very slow and was still able to eat junk food and chit chat with his officemate while assisting me. He also printed a lot of paper which I think is part of my turnover but is not. They are still using a matrix printer, I think he spend 20 or 30 mins on it which I believe he can do later. haaayss.... I just need to take all this hassle for the sake of our house... Anyway later this after we will go the site to check our unit and get the keys. At last!

Ofloxacin for UTI

Last week we had our APE (Annual Physical Exam) at work. I was surprised when last Thursday the nurse handed me a prescription of Ofloxacin 200mg. I was told I have UTI and need to take the said medicine twice a day for 7 days. Another urinalysis is needed after that.

When I went to Mercury Drugstore I was asked if I wanted just the generic and I said yes. Each tablet cost P28 so I paid P392 for my whole week of medication. Haaysss.... medicine in the Philippines are really expensive. I wonder how much is the non-generic.

I am not feeling anything bad so I don't know that have UTI. I started reading about it and find out that it is more common in girls than boys. Sometimes you would not really have a symptom. It is said that you must submit the midstream of urine to avoid including bateria from the genital area that can confuse the result. The urine I submitted is actually the first stream. I don't know the probability of getting the bacteria from the outside part. However one thing I noticed then was my urine was so yellow. Anyway I am drinking the antibiotic now and will have another test after a week. I hope the result will be fine.

2010 Barangay Elections

Another election day. Another headache... disappointment with the government. If only not for my dad I would not waste my time with this election. Supposedly it would start at 7am but due to COMELEC negligence it started at 1pm. Wow! what a delay. Corruption is so much in our country. Due to greed of power and money politicians are killing each other. Truly money and power can be root of evil. I would like to believe that there is still hope but with what is happening every election day, I'm already losing hope. I know we can help our country  even if we are not in the position. In our own little ways we can do something towards the betterment of our place. I will try to do my best to be a good citizen and hope... one day... our world would be a better place to live.

Getting Fit - 60 Day Conditioning Program

Since I give birth losing weigh is one of my problems. My friend's keeps on telling me do some workout to be able to lose weight. I guess working out at home would be better rather than going to the gym. Aside from it being free, I will have more privacy and I can do it when my kid is asleep or at school. I have freedom of time when to do it. I can also choose the music that I want depending on my mood.

I guess the Insanity 60 Day Conditioning Program would be a good choice for me. It's a cardio workout program in a DVD. It requires no weights, no need to go the gym and you only need to spend less than an hour a day. The Insanity Workout comes with 10 discs. The first CD is for fitness test.  The other five discs are for different workout rotation good for the first month which would require about 30mins of your time a day. The last four cds is a maxed out worked outs that would consume 45mins of your time. The package also includes Insanity Wall Calendar which would assist you on what work out to do each day, an elite nutrition guide to help you on what food to eat and an insanity fitness guide for you to know how to get the best shape.

One thing I really like about this program is that it requires no equipment. The workout features cardio, plyometrics and sports drills. If done and followed right you can actually burn up to 1000 calories. This is really exciting.

If you want to see proof on how this program changed the life of other people you can read some Insanity Workout Review. You would see a lot of good testimonials.

Frontierville - The Adobe Plugin has crashed

Since our computer got broken I only have time to play frontierville when my sister-in-law brings her laptop. But what disappoints me is that aside from it loading to slow is the game crashing due to adobe plugin. After waiting for a few minutes for it to load will only end up on nothing. I would try reloading it several times and getting the same thing. I am playing this in google chrome but encountering the same thing also in mozilla. I found a fix online for mozilla. It did remove that error but the bad thing is it did not fix the internet blast lost connection thing. Haayss.

For mozilla users follow the instruction below:
1. On your address bar type about:config. You will see the screen below.

2. Just click on I'll be careful, I promise!
3. In the filter box type dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs (it is easier to just copy and paste this)
4. Double click dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs and change number to -1.

4 Seater Dining Table

Yesterday Ate Joan told me that our neighbor who is planing to move is having a garage sale. She actually purchase a small red orocan cabinet for only P200. There are books, shoes, clothings, appliances, furnitures on sale. One of my neighbor suggested us to get the 4 seater dining table set. It looks somewhat similar to the picture below. The table has glass and still looks very clear. I was not able to check the chairs if they have foam. The owner is giving it to us for only P4500. I think its a good deal but problem is I don't have money yet. Robin asked the owner to reserve it for us. I am not sure if we will be able to get since we did not give her any down payment. I would have the money probably by November. I hope we will be able to get it. Its going to be a good dining set for a new house.

A Simple Game During Idle Time

I was blog hopping trying to do something during my idle time. It's only half of my shift and I am getting bored. But its better rather than having lots of phone calls. I read on a blog that they play this game and was able to play it during their whole shift. hehehe. The game is very simple mouse game. You just need to drive the helicopter without crashing. The only control is to move the helicopter up (by holding down the left button of your mouse) and to go down is to release the left button of the mouse. They got a highscore of 2477. Well I just played it for a few minutes and got 836. I will try to play it more so that I can make a post on her blog and be proud that I beat them hehehe.

If you have nothing to do, try this and see how time flies. hehehe. http://play.urbangen.com/index.php?act=play&id=28

Getting Another Computer

Compaq Presario CQ5600F Desktop PC - BlackMy husband called me last week and is very excited. He said our neighbor who is going to move abroad is selling their computer that they bought last December for only 10k. I haven't seen the full specs but he said it has an intel dual core processor, it comes with 17" monitor LCD, DVDRW, original OS and a computer table. We are planning to buy a motherboard for our broken computer, my budget is around 4k. We are supposed to buy it after getting my Christmas bonus. Our neighbor will leave I think at the end of this week so they are in hurry selling the computer.  Our Ninang Malou asked Robin to asked the owner if they would give it for 8k. To his surprise the owner agreed. Its been more than a month since our computer got broken and Robin is really excited. Our Ninang Malou said she would lend us the money instead so that we can get the computer. She agreed to get paid once I get my bonus which probably before the end of November. On Thursday or Friday we will find out if Ninang Malou will have the money, Robin told her we would pay her some interest instead.

I guess its a good deal. Our monitor is still a CRT and buying a new LCD would cost probably 8-10k. I would ask him later to ask for the full specs so that I can verify other details of it and see if its really a good deal.

Normal Work Hours

It is consist of 8-hour workdays that begin at 8:00am and end at 5pm. I've never experience this and is thinking now of shifting to this what they call "normal working hours." I've been a vampire since I started working. Always on the graveyard shift, awake at night and sleeping at the morning. During my days off I try to live normal then transform again to vampire mode. Its been 6 years that I've been doing this routine. I now have two kids and I think I would be able to spend quality time with my family if I will work in normal working hours. I hope I will be able to shift schedule before the end of this year if not it will be my goal for the next year.

My Google Adsense is now Improving

Aside from sharing my experiences, one other reason of me blogging is to earn money online. I do earn from pay per click ( like NEOBUX and LINKGRAND) and paid post. I do have google adsense when I started my blog but I really don't mind it. I think on my first year of blogging I hardly get $1 for the whole one year. Then recently I noticed that I am getting a lot of readers. I checked my adsense and I am getting few clicks. Last month, September, I was able to get $1.60 for the whole month. And now I already have $1.24 for the first week of October. Wow! it really excites me. Currently my total earning is $7.24. Once I get $10 I will try to do a cash out. I hope I will have more visitors to increase my ranking and more people to click on google ads.

K-12 Education Good or Bad Idea?

To increase the quality of education in the Philippines DepEd would like to introduce the 12 Year education model.

DepEd's proposed model is the K-6-4-2 Model, which involves:

  • one year of kindergarten;

  • six years of elementary school (Grades 1-6);

  • four years of junior high school (Grades 7-10), and

  • two years of senior high school (Grades 11-12)

  • According to the news we are the only Asian country implementing a 10 year education program. In this proposal the curriculum from kindergarten to Senior High School will be change. The aim is to let Senior High School students improve on their skill and competencies and be legible to work after graduating. The curriculum will provide specialization on whatever course they are interested to pursue.

I know there will be different reactions on this. Some will think that this is just an extra expense for the parents. But since tertiary education is not a necessity to get a job, we can have more self supporting students. With the change in the curriculum, minor subject will be spread in elementary and senior high school. Junior High School will be start of enhancing the student skill on what major course they want to get. In college, student can focus more on the specialty that they wanted. For me some minor subjects during my 1st year and 2nd year in college is just a waste. The curriculum should take away subjects that are no longer related to the course like El Filibusterismo for Engineering Students. To read more about this news, click here.

I Cannot Sit on the Floor with my Legs Straight & my Back Straight at the Same Time

It is sometimes called the 'L' position. If I sit on the floor with my back straight my legs would bend and vice versa. I guess I am really not that flexible because I am not sporty and I don't do any exercise. Would it do any harm? I don't know. I hope it would not affect my health at all. I am taking injectable quarterly to avoid pregnancy and I think that medicine some what weaken the bones. I was advise by my OB to take caltrate plus. I will try to do some stretching if I have time.

    MMDA Re-implementing Anti-Littering Law

I was watching news last night and was surprised about this. Its been a norm by us to throw candy wrappers and cigarette butt any where. I am guilty of this (the candy wrapper bec. I don't smoke). For so many years its like a normal thing for everyone then all of the sudden MMDA are reinforcing it. It was surprising to most especially those who are caught. The fine cost P500. This is a good law and I am happy its being reinforced by the government. It will help our country lessen the garbage that is causing problem with our drainage system. I just hope that they would do something to spread this news more because lots of people are not aware of it. According to the news it was reimplemented on September 16, 2010.

Pros and Cons of not Having a Computer

Its been more than a month since our computer motherboard finally give up. I don't a budget yet so I haven't replace it. I guess having no computer at home do have some advantages and disadvantages and here they are:

    Pros:

    • I have better sleep because I no longer spend hours and hours of my time in front of the computer especially after work
    • Our electricity bill went down (P1000 difference from the previous bill, wew!)
    • I was able to watch cartoons with my kid
    • I realized that I can live without PC, (@_@)

    Cons:

    • I cannot pay my bill online
    • I cannot check my cc / ATM status
    • I cannot check my email for important updates
    • I cannot do blogging which is my sideline
    • I cannot read chikas and do social networking... missing my Facebook
Haayss... its really a hassle for me. I guess I just need to control the usage of it once I buy a new motherboard.

    Leadership vs Management

I applied for a Team Leader post at work but was not able to make it. Even though that is the case I did learn a lot. I need to improve the tone of my voice so that it will be more convincing selling my self. Also while studying about leadership I was able to read about leadership and management and difference between the two.

Manager is more focused on systems and infrastructure.
Leader is a people's person and is more focused on his/her team.
Managing is about efficiency. Leading is about effectiveness.
Managing is about how. Leading is about what and why.
Management is about system, control, procedures, policies and structure. Leadership is about trust - about people.

Leader draw people to them by enrolling them in their vision. What leaders do is inspire people, empower them. They pull rather that push. This pull style of leadership attracts and energizes people to enroll in a vision of the future. It motivates the people in helping them identify with the task and goal rather than by rewarding or punishing them.

To manage means to bring about, to accomplish, to have charge of responsibility, to conduct.
Leading is influencing, guiding in direction, course, action and opinion.

For me it goes hand in hand. You must know when to manage and when to lead.

    Citibank Payment Assistance Program

Just read the reply of Citibank customer service last night about the consolidation that I am asking. It is weird because they are asking for my contact info. They said it is being offered to selected client and they need my contact info so that they can forward it to the concerned unit who will contact me directly. I did not reply to it because how come they can call me offering different promos and when they think my payment has not yet posted. I am sure they have my contact info. Anyway I will try instead my best to pay it off, I haven't been a delinquent customer. I am just asking for a little consideration and I am disappointed with the reply.

    Citibank Consolidation

Yesterday East West Bank called me again asking me to send her a photocopy of one valid ID. I told her I changed my mind and I no longer want a new credit card. She told me it is already in the mail and told me to accept the card so that she will not get charge. She ask me not to activate it instead when I receive it. I wonder if its already in mail then why is she still asking for a valid ID. I also read online that some cc are already activated when delivered. If its already in mail then I might activate it, hehehe, but still thinking about it.

I have 2 cc from Citibank and both of them already reached the limit. As much as I want to pay but what's happening is every time I made a payment I use it again. It is because I really have a lot of payables and is having problem budgeting. I no longer need to discuss what are my other payables but you know sometimes in your life you just find your self with too many debts and don't know what to do. I've read a lot stories about the harassment being made by the collection agencies. I don't want my account to be transferred to those collection agencies. I've read online some people who had called their bank and was able to have an easier payment scheme for their cc. I don't know if Citibank offers that. Anyway before I wrote this post I already send an email to their customer service which I always get a prompt reply. I will share with you guys if they offer me any consolidation. I hope they would.

    Another Credit Card

I got a phone call last Monday from East West Bank offering me a credit card. I have two cc which I already reach the limit. Haay, I don't know if its a good idea to have one more card, I guess not. Financially we are struggling. It's been a year since I give birth to my second child which worsen our financial issue. Her vaccines are too expensive plus the milk and diaper that she needs every month. As a mother I sacrifice a lot of things. I even think twice before spending a P100, that's how hard it is. I maybe earning a lot but with all the payables that I have and the only one working, what I am getting every month is not enough. I actually decided to get another credit card so that I have something to use if I don't have money.

Sometimes I pity myself, I am thinking if I'm only single I could have enjoyed a lot of things with what I have. I could buy the clothes that I want, I could travel to different places, I could buy gadgets, I could enjoy life more. But I told myself I need to be strong, self-pity would not help at all. I know in God's help we will be able to recover from this. Someday I will share this experience on how I was able to recover and be an inspiration to others. God is the strength of my heart and the smile from kids give me courage not to give up.

    Dream Vacation

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's been a while since my family had a vacation. I hope next summer we will be able to go somewhere to have some fun. I was able to visit Hong kong before but it was with my sisters in law. I am dreaming of going out of the country with my family.

I hope that someday I and my family will be able to visit Kissimmee, Florida. We would stay in Celebration Suites at Old Town. Aside from it being affordable it is only 2 miles away from Disney Park which my kids would definitely enjoy. We would surely visit Walt Disney World Resort and take adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. I am really excited for my kids and I want everything to be memorable for them.

Since my little boy love swimming it would be a great idea to have splash at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. I would like my kids also to experience fishing and hiking. After having those activities we would visit Florida mall and go shopping. I really love shopping, specially items on sale. I would buy gifts for my friends and of course toys for my kids. I hope one day this vacation will come true, it may not be with my kids but maybe with my grandkids.

For you guys who are planning to have a vacation and doesn't have an idea where to go yet visit http://bit.ly/dlBGMu and explore Kissimmee. Plan your dream vacation now. They offer a lot of things and I am sure you will never run out of choices.

    New Hair Style

For so many years I have a long hair. Most of the time I just trim it or have it layered. This time I am thinking of having a short hair. I wonder if it would fit me. I remember when I was in high school and college I was able to cut my hair short. I was thin before but now my face is bigger as well as my body, hehehe. Anyway I am not going to do it right away but I am thinking of cutting my hair maybe before Christmas. I'll just post my picture if I decided to do so. ^_^

    Pag-ibig Approved our House Loan

Last week I received a phone call from Prosperity Builders Resources Inc. that our house loan has been approved by Pag-ibig on August 20, 2010. After a few days I also received the letter from Pag-ibig. I was told by the guy who called me that my first check for Pag-ibig will be due on October 20, 2010. I am a little bit confused with that. My mom read the letter and she told me it is due September 20.

Yesterday we went to Prosperity to clear the issue with the advanced MA that we paid. (Correct, we are asked by the developer to pay what they call advanced MA even if Pag-ibig haven't approved the loan yet. I guess they are doing this because they don't have enough fund and using the money of the buyers to make the business going).

When we arrived we are number 4 on queue for turn over. I overheard the two woman talking before me that they also pay advanced MA. The older woman said they pay 5months while other one says they paid 3months. Wow, actually mine should be 9 months but I only pay 7months of it. We waited for almost 30mins. Then they give me a turn over agreement that I need to sign. I was also asked to submit a photocopy of my 2 valid IDs.

I went back and told him that I would not sign the papers yet because on the agreement I only have 10 days to inspect our unit for complaints upon signing the agreement. I verified with him when do I need to pay my first Pag-ibig check, is it before October 20 or before September 20. He answered me October 20. Then a guy beside him checked the letter from Pag-ibig and told me it should be September 20. They argued and at the end agreed that I need to pay it before September 20. If it was not corrected I would end up with a returned check and need to pay P1500 to GMA bank if it happens. Haaysss.... I asked him if they can offset the P3700 for the turn over and amilyar from the advanced MA that I gave them and he said no. He refer me to a woman named Janet for clarification about the advanced MA.

Actually earlier while waiting for the guy who will assist us with the turn over my husband approach Ms. Janet to ask about the advanced MA. He was told to finish the turn over first. When I approached her she seems hesitant to help and even asked me if I am done with the turn over. I told my concern was the advanced MA.
She have this frustration on her face and a high pitch tone. She doesn't even smile at all while trying to explain. She said the advanced MA will be remitted to Pag-ibig and will be deducted to the principal. She said in effect it will pay off the number of months that I need to pay with Pag-ibig. Let say if its 30years, if I paid 6months advanced MA then the remaining will be 29yrs and 6mo. We are told to go to accounting to verify when it will be remitted to Pag-ibig. Out of my frustration I did not even say thank you to her we might even have a fight if her voice did not tone down.

We went to 6th floor and talk to Jen. She seems helpful. She told us that it is already in process and might be remitted before the end of this month. I have her phone number so she said I can call her to verify if its done.

Wew..... its really a head ache every time I visit them. Thanks to my mom who always accompany us every time we visit the developer. Anyway, I am hoping that we move in either this December or next year.

    Fukuda Warranty

Lasko 16-Inch Oscillating Pedestal Fan, Black
My husband heard a weird sound and when he checked it, it is our Fukuda stand fan. The screw on the back is loose and a plastic part inside split into two. I remember we bought it last summer because our Hanabishi fan stopped working. That Hanabishi fan that we have give us cool breeze for so many years. It was a wedding gift to us 5 years ago.

I started to look for the receipt of our Fukuda fan in my wallet. Good thing I found it. Although the ink has faded it is still readable. I remember the sales guy told us to photocopy the receipt since the invoice in SM actually fades. It is dated May 30, 2010. I texted my mom to ask if our van is there so that we will not have a hard time bringing the fan to SM Molino. My mom told me they are also about to go there. We went to customer service first then went to the appliances of SM Hypermarket. I think it took me 45mins because Fukuda only has one agent, whom they call dizer (I guess short for promodizer). The guy checked the damage, let me fill out out a log book and then give me a receipt. Actually my wait time is longer than the process. I was told to wait 1-2 weeks.

    Long Lost Friend

When I started using Facebook I get hook to it easily and forget about my friendster account. Once in a while I would still open my friendster but I no longer update it. I love the wall post, the live chat, sharing of pics and photo, tagging, different applications.... I am really enjoying facebook. I used to watch pictures of my highschool and college friends, relatives and previous officemates. Its fun to see how they are doing now. Some are now working abroad, some look fabulous, some already have kids, some are just having fun and some just stay the same. I enjoy watching their pictures and some pictures of the past.

Last week to my surprise my "kababata" (childhood friend), Apple, added me as a friend. She was my playmate when our family move to Paete Laguna to try our luck in bakery. We stayed there for one year and eventually go back to Pasay where we used to live. I was in grade 5 then. There is already computer but it is not as popular as now. We used to play chinese garter, sipa and touch taya. When we move back to Pasay we still have our communication through regular mail. It was fun reading letter from a friend. I think I still have her letters somewhere in our house. I don't know what happen why we stopped the communication. She is now a grown up lady and still single. I know she will grow up as a beautiful girl. Too bad my computer at home got broken so I am unable to access my Facebook account as often as I wanted. I hope I would still meet other long lost friend that I have, maybe someone from elementary.

    Cough with Sticky White Phlegm

I have this cough accompanied with a sticky white phlegm for a week now. It is really embarrassing when coughing inside our shuttle going to work. I can help control it because my throat gets itchy and I can't help it but cough. Along with the coughing is a sticky white phlegm that comes out. That is why I see to it I have a tissue on my pocket to throw it. I am not drinking any medicine hoping that it will heal on its own. Right now I am trying to drink lots of water which I don't really like because I go to the bathroom several times while at work.

While searching online for remedy I find out that phlegm is an indication that our immune system is trying to fight an infection that is trying to access your respiratory system. However if your phlegm is not white (like brownish) you might have something serious and need to consult a physician. You can read more of this info on this link.

Here are some things that you can do to get rid of this sticky white phlegm:
    • If you are a smoker, stop it
    • Treat nasal or sinus infection that you have
    • Take an expectorant
    • Don't take cough suppressants
    • Drink plenty of fluids and liquids
    • Spit the phlegm out, don't swallow it

How to Cook Kalderetang Buto-Buto or Ribs

I noticed that lots of people are viewing my post about Kalderetang Buto-Buto which is only a story about what happen during a fiesta. I really did not put anything on how to do it. So here it is for those who are looking for it.

    Ingredients:

    5kl Buto-buto / Ribs
    10pcs medium size onions (sliced)
    1small crushed garlic
1 small bottle of pickle relish
3 big can of Reno liver spread
    Chopped Siling Labuyo
    salt and ground pepper
    vinegar and soy sauce

    How to Cook:

Cooked buto-buto in vinegar and soysauce, salt and peper until tender. Drain and separate. Saute onion and garlic. Make sure that the oil is enough that you can still add the buto-buto or ribs. But not too many that will make the food oily. Just enough that the ribs will not stick in the pan. Then add the pickles, reno, chopped siling labuyo (according to your taste). Add water using the can of big Reno (3 cans). Let it boil. Make sure to mix it once in a while. You can also add bell pepper and potatoes. My dad actually added tomato sauce. So its up to   you to make changes on this recipe. If you don't want it chili then don't add siling labuyo. My mom told me that it is the onion that makes this recipe yummy. You can add more onions if you like.

How to go to Market Market

My mom asked me to accompany her to Market, Market. She said she needs to go there to bring her bracelet (a gift from a friend)to fix it. The bracelet was broken that all the beads are removed. Good thing she did not loose any of them. Everything are still inside the small pouch where she usually put it. She was told by her friend that the store's name is Mary's Gift Collection and the repair is free.

Last Sunday after my mom attended the worship service we met at ATC. She said we can ride a bus at Ayala. So from Alabang we rode a bus and drop off at Edsa Ayala (adjacent to SM Mall). We turn right at the first street and when you reach the end you will see there a "tolda" where you can wait for the bus going to Market Market. There is also a jeepney terminal across the street. The fare is only P11. The bus is exclusive and its route is not in Edsa. I am not good in street name but it goes inside instead of going to Edsa and we were able to reach Market Market in just a few minutes. No traffic! yey! The mall is big and is surrounded by condominiums. There are lots of stalls outside and inside are lots of boutiques. We asked the customer service where Mary's is and we are told to go to 2nd Floor and enter the Fashion Market. It is like Glorietta where they have Glorietta 1 or 2 but there they have names like Fashion market, Gift Market. I don't know what other categories they have. We even saw a customer's lounge area but not able to enter it.

The fashion market displays different clothing and accessories. It somewhat similar to Greenhills where there are lots of stores with very affordable prices. We first look for Mary's Gift Accessories. The old ladies there which I think are the owner looks Chinese. She even asked the year date of my mom. She cut a ruberrized nylon looked like thing and use it to fix my mom's bracelet. While she was doing it I checked on the prices of their bracelet and they are quite expensive. The cheapest that I saw is P1K, I even saw a P3K bracelets. My mom's bracelet is color black. She said its about 2 years old and the color did not fade at all. They uses different stones for their accessories. I actually saw a pearl earrings for about P500 which I would like to buy. Maybe next time when we come back.

    Making A Small Room Bigger

Use What You Have Decorating : Transform Your Home in One Hour With Ten Simple Design Principles -- Using the Space You Have, the Things You Like, the Budget You ChooseWe might move to our small house next year (I hope). It is a bare unit so we need to do a lot of fixing. I am excited about it and it really feels different if you are going to decorate your "own" house. You don't feel the money is wasted since it is your own home and you have this happiness looking at the finish product (even though I don't have a finish product yet , hehehe). Since we have a small space I am searching online on how to make a small room bigger. What I learned so far is that I should use light color for the wall. They say dark colors makes a room smaller. You should invite more light in the room to make it bigger. Adding a big mirror can also add light and make an illusion of a bigger space. I should also have good lightings to make an illusion of a bigger room. Avoiding clutter is also one way which I don't know how I will do since I have kids at home. Item that can maximize space is very helpful. I will keep in mind all of these information so that I already have an idea of what to do when we start fixing our new house.

    Mobo or Proc Problem

After eating lunch yesterday, my husband helped me in checking our broken computer. It was not turning on so I thought it is the power supply. What I did was I removed all the cards (video and modem), disconnected all the drives (hard drive, floppy and DVDRW), disconnected power to the processor, take out the memory, leaving only the mobo and power supply. When I tried to turn it on the fan on both the power supply and proc will spin for a few seconds then would go off. I am already thinking of getting a new power supply. Our neighbor says they have 2 computers at home that currently they are not using. My husband took it so that we can test the power supply but then both computer is using a smaller plug. Their power supply is only 20pin while ours has 24 pins. Good thing my husband remembered that her ate also have a computer. I am not sure what is the problem of that computer but that computer does power on. The first that we checked is if it is using 24pin. Yes they are compatible. What we did first is we connected the working power supply to my computer and it did the same thing. It spin for a few seconds then go off. We connected our power supply to that computer and it worked fine. Telling us then than the power supply is ok and something is causing it to stopped. The only thing left inside the computer is the mobo and processor. I wonder which is bad. I guess it will take a while before we will be able to fix it. I have a lot of  bills to pay. I still need to save money to replace which ever is bad. For the meantime goodbye Frontierville, goodbye, facebook, goodbye ikariam and goodbye DOTA. @_@

Our Computer would not Power On

My husband was playing Frontierville when all of the sudden our computer shutdown. I am already sleeping when he said it. I checked it last night and it looks like the AVR has no problem. Our monitor and speakers are getting power from it. We had this computer for more than 3 years now. I remember this is the first thing that we bought when I got my first credit card. It is customized by us, we selected the parts and let PC Corner do the assembly. I paid for it for 1year. The only part that I replace so far is the DVD writer. I will check it later. I guess it might be the power supply that has gone bad. I hope its only a glitch hehehe. Anyway, I already started to browse at PC Express website for a new power supply. It cost around P1500, wew. Bad timing, I have a lot of bills.... haayss but what can I do.... we use our computer everyday. We can go without the television but I guess not with the computer. Maybe I should sell our TV to get a PS... hehehe just joking. Haaays really bad... @_@

    PNP Bad Image

I don't really watch television that is why last Monday when I went to work that is the only time that I find out about the hostage taking of the Chinese Tourists. Browsing the web, reading comments from different people even though I haven't watch the actual footage it looks like most people are blaming our police. They said that our police are not trained and look very funny during the said incident. They are not serious about the problem and doing things without a very good plan or maybe no plan at all.

Some countries already announced a travel ban and most OFWs are affected. OFW in HK are I guess the most affected people in abroad. One effect of this is less tourism in our country. Police in our country already have a bad image. Me as a Filipino, every time I saw a police, I always think that they will ask for "kotong." That is their trade mark to me. Bribery and kotong, everything can be arrange by money. I don't know how our policemen will change their image. I am actually hopeless. I still believe that there are still very few police that are good but still most of them are corrupt. This incident makes me feel that our policemen are really no good.

Looking at them standing at their post. Smoking, laughing very loud, with a big tummy, chatting with other police... sorry to say I don't feel respect to them anymore. I am afraid of them because they might use their power to abuse people. They use their gun and authority not for the betterment of our countrymen but for their own good. I am sad that this is happening and I hope someone would stand up and change this image and make the Filipino people proud of our police. I hope someone would stand up so that our respect for them will be restored. I hope... I hope...

Casio Exilim Z80 Battery not Charging

Exilim EX-Z80 8.1 MP Digital Camera - GreenIf I am not mistaken I got my Casio Exilim Z80 2 years ago. I used to bring it on different occasions like birthdays, family gatherings, travel, date with friends, school activities, parties, programs etc. Most of the content of my external hard drive are pictures taken by this camera. I use picassa editor it making the size of the picture smaller. I used the highest resolution on my camera so one picture has a size of 1MB or more. I use the picassa software to lessen the pixel and make size around 100-300KB so that I can easily upload over the internet specially in facebook.

On the manual it says that if the red light turns off on the battery charger then that means that the battery is already full. Usually it takes an hour to fully charge it. The first issue that I encounter was its been charging for an hour or two and still the red light is on. I thought it was charge properly but then after a few shots it is low bat already so that is why I don't have lots of pictures in avilon zoo. This the same thing that happen when we had our team building at work, after a few shots it turned off. One thing I noticed, before when I do the charging the battery gets warm but now it doesn't. I am not sure where is the problem. If its with the battery or with the charger. I hope I can find an owner of the same camera so that maybe I can try charging my battery user his charger. Haaysss....

    Slides and Ladder

Me and David met with Mamu at SM Southmall last Sunday. David needed a black slacks for the coming Buwan ng Wika and my mom says he would pay half of the bill. He actually needs to wear barong and slacks but Robin was able to borrow barong from his cousin RA. While waiting for Mamu, David and I, had some snacks. We bought coke float from Mcdonalds and buy doritos and cheetos. My mom haven't eaten lunch yet so when she arrived so bought chicken and rice from Greenwich. David loves chicken and gravy so my mom also buy one for him. He is not like other kids who only bites a little of their food. He was able to finish the rice and I ate the left over chicken. He prefers eating the skin and the brown part of the chicken.

After eating we then started to hunt for a black slacks. SM is under renovation so it is quite hard to look for what we need. When we reached the department store, we look for childrens wear. A lot of items are on sale but then the slacks that we bought is not on sale. I guess part of the job of sales lady is having a number of sales. Different sales lady from different brands started to offer different slacks. One sales lady even remove my sons shorts without going to the fitting room just to see if it fits. Well after a few try we are able to decide which one to bought.

David started to ask for a toy. I have a tight budget so I told him to buy next time. Mamu give him P100 to buy a toy. Good things there are lots of toys to choose from P100. Kids loves buying toys but most of the time after a week or so they would ignore that it and just throw it under the bed or something. I remember the last time we went to SM I bought him a small billiard table. All of the balls are missing now so he only have the small table left.(hehehe) This time he got "Slides and Ladder." It is the same as snakes and ladder, I guess they change it in to a slide instead of a snake to make it more friendlier. As of this time he is enjoying playing with it. He said he won the game when he played with mamu and mamay.

    Frontierville

I used to play lots of applications in Facebook. I used to have Farmville, Fishville, Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, Yoville, Poker, Pet Society, Farm Town, Bejeweled, Barn Buddy, Restaurant City, Typing Maniac, Happy Aquarium, Happy Island, Cafe World etc. That was really a lot, until one day I got tired of everything and told myself to stop. All I'm doing is just reading update from friends, viewing pictures and videos and plugging my blog, lol. Then one day I saw my husband playing Frontierville and he was competing with our neighbor. I decided to try it and olah! got hook again. The game is about making your land beautiful just like farmville you can plant and purchase buildings. But what makes the game exciting are the quests. Right now I am at level 24 and still counting. My husband is already at level 48. Let see how far can I stay on this.

    Team Building at Forest Club

Last August 7, 2010 we had our team building at Forest Club Eco Resort. This is the first time that we had team building activity for the outing. My experienced before was just outing so everyone can do their own thing. This time it is more exciting and more fun. The day was started with different games like relay race, buko race, trust fall, spider web etc. It was really fun and the most of the games are breath taking, hehehe. Every one are shouting and cheering for their team. After the game we had a yummy lunch. I remember we had pork sinigang, fish, chopsuey, banana and iced tea. Then we are given time to relax in the warm pool or stroll in the vicinity. I was not able to go around and see the lagoon or climb the bamboo bridge since we go straight ahead to the pool. The bikini open contest makes the noon sizzling, wooot. It was free time after that; some stayed on the pool, some enjoyed drinking, some enjoyed singing in the videoke, some take a nap and siesta time for others. It was a very tiring day but very fun and full of activities. Truly it makes the people of APC more closer to each other, it makes the bond more stronger.  Before we go home pansit, puto and juice was served. We are divided to three teams, blue, red and yellow. I belong to Blue Team who actually won in the said event. Yey! All of the member got a UPB10, yahooo!!!

    Team Yellow
    Team Blue
    Team Red

    Tetel from Team Yellow

    Blue Team cheering for Lynette

    Myra from the Red Team

I find this game really hard, needs concentration and team cooperation.

Me running on the Buko Race, hehehe

    Trust Fall

5 people need to pass through this without touching the "web" or else you need to start over
