You read it right. This is the first time I've experienced this and it really bothers me. This happen last night before my shift starts. We have an RCBC ATM in our office. I always make a withdrawal there so I am very comfortable using it. Something strange happen. When I try to withdraw, I got stuck on "Please wait while I'm processing your request," this after I put the amount I wanted to withdraw. (which is P8000, hu hu hu). Several minutes had passed and I am still on the same screen. I press cancel several times still on the same screen. After few more minutes the ATM ejected my card but then with no transaction slip and NO MONEY (waaaa). I got worried so I put my card back and do a balance inquiry. Well, same thing happened, got stuck on the same page and also no transaction slip.
I hurried to my station and opened my tools for work. And after that I checked online if I my ATM got debited. To my surprise, YES! (hu hu hu again.) One of my team mates told me he tried to withdraw twice earlier and experienced the same thing. Good for him he did not get debited. I am planning to go to RCBC near our office after my shift and file a complain. I've talked to some colleagues who had same experience like me. The first one I talked with says he was able to get his money back after 3 days. While the second one says he was able to get his after 1 month! (Aw huhuhu). I'll make another post after I went to RCBC. Here I will see if they have good customer service.
so what happened after your personal transaction to rcbc? what i experienced with rcbc is the same problem as yours: undispensed cash. it happened on september 13, 2010 but until now they keep the money! i called up their toll free line several times and they only say that it is being processed and call again for feedback. is this the way rcbc claims for buhay rizal campaign? while they try to capture funds from their clients from all over the philippines and invest on something for their advantage. this is really the impression, for i know computerized transaction can be tracked in 3 days the most. this is really embarassing for rcbc. that is their buhay rizal campaign.
ReplyDeleteI went to RCBC bank their office and fill out a form for my complain. they gave me telephone number for follow up. After 3 days my money was credited back to my account. grabe....
ReplyDeletegood for you, you had your money back in three days, the same expectation i had in mind, but it turned out to be terribly beyond understanding for rcbc to capture funds for almost two months now. actually, as of today, the money is not credited yet, to be exact it's already 54 days as of this posting. do you know any law protecting clients for this kind of "fraud"? the best thing to get my money back is to file case against the bank. if i don't get any answer from rcbc, then i will consult this to a lawyer, so rcbc gets what they deserve.

DeleteThere's a consumer protection act for e-banking transactions under BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) regulations that you can refer to. Also, you may escalate your written complaint to the Financial Consumer Affairs Group of BSP. May I ask how much was debited to your account? maybe its not even enough to pay your lawyers acceptance fee..=p Hope this helps though. =)

ReplyDeletesame thing happened to me and my collegue last friday 02/15/13.citibank atm namin nagwthdraw kami sa rcbc atm machine here in piazza mckkniley hill. we called citibank hotline almost everyday still no update sa autocorrection.its been a week now punta kami rcbc to check kung paano.your blog is very helpful muntik na kami maghintay na lang....what a bull...so helpful we read this...we are hoping makuha namin ASAP sweldo namin nakuha...
ReplyDeletesame thing happened to me just this may 15,2013. My atm card is rcbc, I first tried to withdraw at BDO atm, I did some balance inquiry and a transaction slip for that balance inquiry was printed. However, when I tried to withdraw a cash I entered the amount and when enter to confirm button is pressed a 'you may have entered the wrong pin' keeps on prompting twice. I tried to wait, no transaction slip was given nor any cash. After an hour or two, I tried to withdraw a cash, this time using the BPI atm, when I entered the amount an insufficient balance prompted to my surprise because that first transaction I had with bdo debited my atm without money dispensed and without transaction slip which makes me so bothered and worried since that was my entire salary.

same thing also happened to me sa landmark RCBC last saturday...I called right away their hotline and I keep on following up RCBC there's nothing I can do daw but to wait for 5 banking days the earliest :(

I tried to withdraw in a bpi atm then after ko enter amount i want and press accept/enter, the atm somewhat hangs(na hindi usual pag nag wiwithdraw ako), then ang nangyare lumabas agad yung resibo and after that yung card naman, then naghihintay ako na may lumabas na pera pero walang lumabas. too bad i tried that 2x. sayang 10k pa man din nawala saken. i checked my balance pero bawas na sya. i checked the receipt tapos walang nakalagay na remaining balance pero may sa online meron pa laman. hopefully this will be fixed immediately kaya lang sa monday ko pa malalakad to since sarado sila ng weekends. :(
ReplyDeleteI withdraw from rcbc savings atm using by BPI account... The transaction was cancelled based from the display and no money was dispensed. However when i checked the money was debited already. Reported to BPI and filed a complaint. Wait and see...

DeleteGood news! I finally got my money back. I went to BPI branch where the problem happens then I filed a complain last monday and I check my balance today(wednesday) and the amount debited to me is back. They said I should wait for 5-7 days but I'm happy to say that it only took less than 5 days. :)

ReplyDeletesame happened to me! nag widthdraw po ako sa rcbc atm then ang sabi ng atm ko is transaction cancelled, i tried twice, same thing happened. mga 5 minutes cguro bago e process yung atm card ko, den after that i directly go to the office and checked my online acct. to mysurprise, na debit ung pera ko amounted to 5k, i immediately called my bank, and they adviced me to go to the nearest rcbc bank and filed a complain, which i did. April 1 ako nag file ng complain until now april 14 wala pa ring na crecredit sa account ko. i hope maibalik na ung pera ko.
ReplyDeleteSame thing happened to me. Tried to withdraw from RCBC atm using my BPI card on April 21 2014, until now RCBC hasnt responded yet. Where can I escalate this? Everytime I make a follow up with BPI I was advise that RCBC hasnt responded yet.

It was around 12 to 12:30 midnight on 11/28/14 when I decided to withdrew money from a stand alone rcbc atm machine at science hub 3 in mckinley hill. I waited more or less 4 mins staring at the screen showing your transaction is being processed, normally it only takes 1 to 2 mins for the transaction to be done. So I was alarmed I cancled the transaction, no receipt and no money came out from the machine, I called the attention of the guard on duty and I asked him if they have a phone so I can call and report the insident the guard said they don't have a phone. I went to another atm machine which is pbcom and tried to withdraw the same amount..and it showed insufficient funds. I was shocked because that's the only money I have that time and I need to buy milk and diaper for my daughter plus some projects for my elder kids. I reported the issue hoping it will be credited sooner than I thought. When I talked to a representative from rcbc his name is jason he said that it will be credited after 24 hours same information I received from bpi 89100. Nothing was credited to my account after 24 hrs of waiting. This really fucked me up. It was monday I decided to talk to the manager of market market branch (my mother branch) but the manager Mr Embreo is so imcompetent that he could not helo me unless there is an instruction from 89100 I cried and Im not ashamed I told him everything as to what theoney is for but he did not help me at all. I decided to go home and phoned 89100 again I deliberateky asked for a supervisor, so I talked to EmEm I told her what the money is for and she provided me a temporary credit which I appreciated. I thought that everything was in place. I received a call from EmEm asking me to return the money (5800) because the result of the investigation came from rcbc is successfully dispenced amount, that exasperate's me. I told EmEm that Iam disputing the result of the investigation because I did not get my money and I am not going to waste my time reporting to them and calling them from time to time just to fool them. I even asked her to request for the cctv attached to the rcbc atm machine to prove that i did not get my money at all. Well sad to say it is fucking 70 days now and still my money is being held on, and they are just giving run around and a migrane. Im hoping there is somebody who can help me about this issue. I kbow for some it is only a small amount but it is more than enough to supply my family's needs. Just so u know Iam the only working for my family and i have 3 kids to support with 2 of them are studying and 1 is a 2yrs old baby girl that needs milk and diaper every time not to mention they need transpo and food for school aswell. Oh GOD please help..

ReplyDeletesame thing. just this feb. 17, 2021. i use my gcash mastercard. i went to rcbc and ask for help. girl rep. said that they dont carry any transaction or shoulder what happened because i use gcash mastercard not rcbc. then she just told me to contact gcash about this. i contact and email, made a ticket for my complain but gcash support just keep telling me they're reviewing my request. tom. i will just go to the BANKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS

DeleteDecember 20 2023 4:39pm nagwithdraw ako ng 5k gamit ang gcash card sa RCBC then nadebit sya pero ung pera and resibo hindi lumabas kaya pumunta ako sa mismong bank kasi pwedeng lakarin kaso sabi ng guard sarado na raw sila. Bumalik ako sa atm para itry ulit kung lalabas ba ang 5k ko then nung nagwithdraw ulit ako ng 5k ay lumabas ito. So ung 5k na una ay di ko nakuha.As of now nareport ko na ito sa gcash and hopefully sana maibalik nila ung 5k ko
