Preserving Stem Cell

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of stem cell? Based on Wikipedia, it is a cell found in all multicellular organisms that are characterized by the ability to renew themselves. Because of this behavior this can be used as a substitute to bone marrow. Medical researchers are also studying more about stem cell because they believe this can also be used to treat other diseases like cancer, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, muscle damage etc.

Because of this discovery more people are trying to save the umbilical cord (good source of stem cell) of their new born baby for future use. The advantage of keeping it is that you will not have problem with matching requirements. If your child contracts a disease, and needs to undergo chemotherapy or radiation, there is a negative impact to the child's immune system. The preserved umbilical cord can be used to strengthen your child's blood and immune system.

Cyro Cell is one of those cord blood banks who can give you that good service. They are one of the largest and established family cord blood banks and is founded in 1989. Visit their website at www.Cryo-Cell.com for more info. You can also visit www.Cryo-Cell.net get a limited free belly bag.

Meralco Application

Yesterday my mom accompanied me to Meralco near SM Bacoor. Since our new house is located in Imus Cavite that would be the nearest Meralco where we can apply for service. I am happy with the quick service that we got. When we enter Meralco the guard gave a number for application. I think I was 3rd or 4th on the queue. Maybe after 10-15mins my number was called. I submitted the application form which I downloaded from their website, electrical permit that I got from our house developer, a photo copy of a valid ID (my SSS) and proof of ownership (I brought my CTC Contract to Sell from the developer).

The lady who assisted us input my information in the computer and afterwards give me a printed form. I was told to wait 2-3 business days for Meralco to survey our house. After that I can call them and then submit all requirements and pay for the deposit (which for me she said is P1300). She told me I would be given a meter socket and I can asked the site engineer if they are the one who will install it. After it is installed I need to call them back so that they can do inspection. If everything is ok then, presto will have electricity.

Bad Experience with Citifinancial

I had a loan with Citifinancial for 3 years which I would say is not a very good deal. The interest is too high, but since I was about to give birth then I grabbed the opportunity. I pay them through PDC and I make sure that I always make a payment on time. Before, they are sending bills through snail mail and for no reason I don't know why they stop sending it. Now the only way I can check on my loan status is by calling their hotline which is long distance call for me since I am living in Cavite. Anyway I don't call them since I know I am paying on time.

Problem started when GMA bank change their check to UCPB for clearing starting from January of 2011. My loan is due every 3rd day of the month and I think it was about 2nd week when I receive a call from Citifinancial asking if I already pay my January due. I said yes since I deposited to my GMA account. The young lady said she will verify my payment and will call me back which she did not. I find out that there is a problem with my check when Pag-ibig told me my check is no longer valid. I was able to fix that by submitting a different PDC from GMA to both Pag-ibig and Citifinancial. Well, I am expecting a call back from Citi if infact my PDC did not clear. They should have informed me. So I paid for late fee because of that.

Next problem occured when GMA bank announced a bank holiday. I deposited with them on February 1 and I think I saw on the news that they closed on Feb 4. I called their hotline right away to verify if my payment went through and another lady who asked lots of question for verification said yes. Bad thing I did not take note of her name. I even called back to ask if its alright to pay through BDO since I no longer have any checking account. I was able to breathe well that night. I can pay my remaining balance through BDO and most of all my last deposit with GMA bank was cleared. Until yesterday afternoon while trying to take a nap a woman named Pinky came to our house. She is from Citifinancial asking me if I paid for my February due. I told him yes, I made a deposit with GMA. She said GMA closed in February 3 which is my due date and she said they did not receive any payment. Well how come when I called their customer service I was told it was cleared. I told her I am willing to pay for it but then they need to waive the late charges. Two critical things and the customer service is not good at. I am a little annoyed as well sending people over my house as if I am not willing to pay. I would understand if I have bad record but I am a good payer since I started. Anyway my loan will be finish by May of next year and I am planning not to renew it.

6th Year Wedding Anniversary

It was our 6th Year Wedding Anniversary last February 9. I file a leave for 3 days to relax as well. Nothing too fancy, we just had a dinner with our kids at Gerry's Grill in Alabang Town Center. I was able to finish 500g of grilled pusit and Robin was able to finish a sizzling sisig na bangus. David ate chicken with spaghetti.  We share a platter of veggie rice and for beverage Robin had bottomless sago't gulaman, iced tea for David and sarsi for me. Rhaine is not feeling well that night due to a little fever, though she ate a little veggie rice and take sip from David's iced tea.

The following day I went to Pag-ibig in Makati with my mom to pay for our house. My mom and I enjoy chicken sisig and sinigang na tiyan na bangus in Max's restaurant for our lunch. We passed by Glorietta where I saw a 50% sale in Human. At first I was looking for a blouse for me but I ended up buying a polo shirt for Robin. For me I was able to buy a new sandals from Mendrez, it was buy one take one. I really love items on sale.

Thank you Lord for being there with us for the past 6 years. I pray that you will continue to bless our relationship and make it stronger.

Plan for a Car

Fixing our house is our priority so I guess buying a car would not happen this year. But if in case, maybe we will get a Toyota or a Honda Civic. I would ask my husband also to study a little bit of car mechanic so that at least he would know how hot replace head gasket. It is quite expensive now to have a car repair and it is also hard to find trusted shop similar to those in Los Angeles auto repair.

Anyway, I will not think of those things as of now. First things first, we would apply for electricity and water, have a grills on our window and replace the front door with a better one. In God's time I know we will be able to get a car as too. He was able to give us a new house; for sure it is not impossible to have a car too.

Google Adsense PIN

Yesterday I received a letter from Google. Wew, it is all the way from Mountain View, Ca. It was when my revenue reached about $9 something, I got a message from my adsense that I need to update my payment info. That include tax info, mode of payment and Adsense PIN is required. I just updated it and I selected Western Union for my mode of payment. Since I am outside the US there will be no tax. I am looking forward to reach $100 revenue to be have my first withdrawal.
