Counterflow in Coastal Rd - Aguinaldo Hwy: Pain in the Butt

If you live in Cavite I guess you've already experience the counterflow traffic enforcers were implementing. How it works is they stop one lane, let say lane going to Aguinaldo, and let the cars flow on the other lane for about 30minutes and sometimes even more than that. So if you're going to work or school and caught by this counterflow most of the time you will get late. It is really a pain in the butt literally, cause you need to sit for a long time waiting for a traffic that is not moving. On top of that you get more lucky if you were riding a Van or FX where passengers are like sardines. You can feel the sweat of the person beside you and sometimes you can smell something fishy. (eeeww!)

Commonly you will see people sleeping, looking at their watch frequently, frowning, cursing, eating, playing games with their PS2 or cellphone, texting, calling someone telling them they got caught in traffic, babies crying, cars turning off their engines or if its almost 30minutes cars will start the beeping their horns continously etc.

In my opinion I don't see counterflow helpful at all. They've been doing that since I was in college and I now have a 3yrs old kid and their still doing it. I cannot suggest a solution for the traffic in Coastal - Aguinaldo but that's why they are on that position to think for a resolution. There is nothing I can do but suffer the pain of this heavy traffic and the long wait caused by this counterflow. Can they shorten the interval to 15mins instead of 30mins?

Currently, there is a highway on process which will give an alternate route for people living in Cavite City. It will take years to finish and I think it will lessen the traffic in Coastal but I hope they would think of an alternate option to counterflow because its really a head ache to everyone.
