Maxicare Covers Warts Removal

Last Sunday we went to Casa Medica at SM Southmall for Rhaine to have her chickenpox vaccine. While waiting on the queue Robin said he would ask a derma if they could remove the moles (which I thought) on his neck and chest and to see if it will be covered by Maxicare. He already had a check up before and was schedule for removal but then the doctor is unavailable. Also his doctor before doesnt seem nice. This time its a girl again but compare to the doctor before this one is very nice. He was asked to contact Maxicare for approval. He was told that P2000 will be covered. The session cost P2500 so I still need to pay for the P500. I told him to proceed with it.

The doctor put a white cream all over his neck, chest and underarms where there are warts (according the doctor) and put a big transparent tape. It was an anesthesia because later the doctor will burn them. (ouch!) We ate at Jollibee first since he needs to wait for an hour before the procedure. People are looking him because of the big tape on his neck and he also has once tape on his left eye. The doctor said the wart on his eye and finger is free, i mean no extra charge, yey! We went back to the clinic after an hour and the doctor started burning them. Robin said the device looks like a small tool for burning metal. He doesn't feel anything but he said the one on his finger hurts. The doctor even injected anesthesia on it. After more than 30mins they are done. Those brown looked like moles before are now all black, they are burned. I can still see them and they are more noticeable because of the black color but the doctor said it would fall on its own. He was told not to scratch them to avoid infection. He was given a liquid soap, 7 days antibiotic and a cream. We will visit the doctor after a month.
