I Cannot Sit on the Floor with my Legs Straight & my Back Straight at the Same Time

It is sometimes called the 'L' position. If I sit on the floor with my back straight my legs would bend and vice versa. I guess I am really not that flexible because I am not sporty and I don't do any exercise. Would it do any harm? I don't know. I hope it would not affect my health at all. I am taking injectable quarterly to avoid pregnancy and I think that medicine some what weaken the bones. I was advise by my OB to take caltrate plus. I will try to do some stretching if I have time.

New Hair Style

For so many years I have a long hair. Most of the time I just trim it or have it layered. This time I am thinking of having a short hair. I wonder if it would fit me. I remember when I was in high school and college I was able to cut my hair short. I was thin before but now my face is bigger as well as my body, hehehe. Anyway I am not going to do it right away but I am thinking of cutting my hair maybe before Christmas. I'll just post my picture if I decided to do so. ^_^

How to know if it is a 2 Way Mirror

Another e-mail from a friend. Thanks guys! This is helpful to all girls out there.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you tell when you are in a hotel room, restroom, motel etc. with a
mirror whether it is in fact a mirror or 2-way glass?

                                      Here's how:

I thought it was quite interesting! And I know in about 30 seconds you're
going to do what I did and find the nearest mirror.... Do you know how to
determine if a mirror is 2-way or not?

This is not to scare you, but to make you aware. A policewoman who
travels all over the U.S. and gives seminars and techniques for
businesswomen passed this on. When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel
rooms, changing rooms, etc.., how many of you know for sure that the
seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or
actually a 2-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them)?
There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female
changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by
                           just looking at it.

So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror
we are looking at? Just conduct this simple test:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if
there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it
is a GENUINE mirror.  However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the
image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!

                       "No Space, Leave the Place"

So remember, every time you see a Mirror, do the "fingernail test." It
                        doesn't cost you anything.

Remember:  "No Space, Leave the Place"

Preparation

I don't know what to do with my hair for our Christmas Party so I decided to bring it to a parlor near our house. After my shift I went straight there to have my hair set. I've mention before that my hair has a life of its own (lol), I mean uncontrollable. It is so thick, dry and I would say unhealthy. I had my hair colored last year that is why half of it now is black and half is brown. Anyways, for my outfit I bought a floral dress and I will pair it with my white clog sandals. For my bag I borrow one from my mom and for my accessories I will wear a black earing and a white plastic bracelet.

Does Use of Hair Iron Can Cause Hair Damage?

Most of the time I just pony tail my hair because it is very thick and frizzy. I decided to buy a ceramic hair straightener from Avon to be able to at least loose my hair. I tried using it once but I am having a hard time doing it to my own hair and also I don't have enough time. I am concern if I decided to use it everyday will it cause more damage to my hair? It also says on the box not to use on wet hair. Is it alright then to use a hair dryer or it will cause more damage?

I really don't have a good crowning glory. I hope one day I will have a straight, shiny hair that I can display without any worries. I've tried several hair treatments before like hair rebonding, hair relaxing and hot oil. They worked for a few months but I would not be able to afford to go to the parlor every time. I am the only one working and have other priorities. If you have any personal experience on how to have a healthy hair that doesn't cost much I would really appreciate it. ^_^

Tampons Much Better than Pad?

While chatting in the rest room I find out that one of my officemate prefer to use tampons rather than sanitary pad. I've heard a lot of bad things or myth about using tampons so I tried to search online if which is better.

Most of the common questions/myths about using tampons were:
1. Does it affect virginity?
2. Risk of not be able to remove the tampons.
3. Can cause infection or disease?
4. If it can leave fibers inside our body
5.  Can I wear tampons while swimming?
And the list goes on....

Well during my research it looks like tampons have more advantages than using pad.  Though at first it is quite hard to insert but after several tries you will get use to it.

Usage of tampons doesnt affect virginity.  The risk of not being able to remove it or get stuck is very rare. Tampon has a string that you can use to pull it out and in very rare cases if the string breaks you can manually reach for it.  Vaginal infections and disease are commonly caused by bacteria and tampon uses a special material that absorbs menstruation and the manufacturer make sure that the materials are clean and safe.  Too avoid infection it is recommended you change tampons every 4 hours.

Some of the advantages of using tampon are:
  • You can wear fitted jeans without being noticed that you have your period
  • It doesnt stinks like using pad since the tampon is inside your body
  • It is much smaller than pads so it is easy to carry
  • You can have fun swimming during your period <----- this is what I like most ^_^
I haven't tried using it. Since I am pregnant right now I have no chance of trying it.  After giving birth maybe I'll give it a try.
