Braun Epilator Review

I got my Braun epilator 2 years ago, if I'm not mistaken around April of 2018. A friend of mine in the office recommended using this instead of going somewhere for hair removal. I've tried shaving and other waxing brands but I would say this is what I love the most. Its very handy and easy to use, just need to have electricity. I use it for both my legs and under arms.

I remember the first time I use it in my under arms, I ask my husband to do it for me and I ended with rashes, awww. It is because he pressed it too       hard. There's no pressure needed, as long as the tiny tweezers can reach the hair that would be good enough. Once you have it , you don't need to  schedule an appointment at the waxing salon, you can use it anytime of the day at home. This is worth an investment, I think I bought this around 3k php.

Facial Wash, Toner and Moisturizer

Here's my new beauty regimen. A friend of mine in the office showed me brochure of Human Nature and decided to buy Nourishing Facial Wash and Face Toner. I use it along with Nivea Creme Moisturizer. I've been using this for a week now and my mom noticed the change in my skin :-). Before going to work I wash my face with facial wash and then put toner on. After the toner is dry I put Nivea and put my make up on after a few minutes. I also do this after work before going to bed. I will definitely continue doing this routine. I guess it doesn't matter which brand you use, just get the one you trust. This skincare routine is definitely effective.

Avon Ideal Oil Control Pressed Powder Experience

Well, well, well start of 2013 and I decided to start using pressed power again. I cannot remember the last time I bought one. I chose this pressed power aside from its affordable price I find the packaging very attractive.

Its not bulky and as you can see it looks very classy.

It also has mirror inside it

I bought it on sale for P189, regular price is P250.

It suits my skin very much. It has smooth and shine free finish. What makes me really love this is when I first use it my husband asked me, "Naka make up ka ba? Ang ganda mo?, hehe" (Do you have make up? You're so pretty.) It looks so natural that he is not sure if I have make up or not.

Vitress Cuticle Coat for Dry and Dull Hair

I bought Vitress Cuticle Coat last Sunday for my hair which is dry and hard to manage. I tried using hair conditioner, although it softens my hair still unmanageable. Well Vitress Cuticle Coat is not messy compare to other hair products that are oily. I try it without using hair conditioner and it does softens my hair. But it doesnt give the shine like what it said. I guess its a good alternative if I'm not able to put hair conditioner on. Once I have a budget I would like to have cellophane treatment.

Does Use of Hair Iron Can Cause Hair Damage?

Most of the time I just pony tail my hair because it is very thick and frizzy. I decided to buy a ceramic hair straightener from Avon to be able to at least loose my hair. I tried using it once but I am having a hard time doing it to my own hair and also I don't have enough time. I am concern if I decided to use it everyday will it cause more damage to my hair? It also says on the box not to use on wet hair. Is it alright then to use a hair dryer or it will cause more damage?

I really don't have a good crowning glory. I hope one day I will have a straight, shiny hair that I can display without any worries. I've tried several hair treatments before like hair rebonding, hair relaxing and hot oil. They worked for a few months but I would not be able to afford to go to the parlor every time. I am the only one working and have other priorities. If you have any personal experience on how to have a healthy hair that doesn't cost much I would really appreciate it. ^_^

Beauty Tips from Scrubs

Although summer season is about to end it is not a reason for us girls to lie back and not feel beautiful. Let me share you some beauty tips that I read from Scrubs article. The tips are actually for busy nurses to make their life less stressful but I believe it can be applied to any woman who cares about their looks.

Do you feel beautiful after a long sleep or you look horrible that you don't want to look in the mirror? So that you will feel refresh and look younger after a long rest try some of these tips. Very common of course is to have at least 8 hours of rest. I have this attitude of sleeping on my left side especially now that I am pregnant but I find out that if we sleep on one side or on stomach too much that can cause wrinkles. It is better to sleep on your back. I guess I need to stop my habit of sleeping on my side.

One of my habits as well is going to sleep without removing my make up. I am too tired from work so usually I would just change clothes; brush my teeth and go to sleep. That is actually bad for our skin because it can cause our pores to clog and let toxins penetrates more deeply. Maybe that is why I get a pimple sometimes. After washing your face don't forget to put on moisturizers as well.

I was once told to brush my tongue when brushing my teeth and this is the first time that I heard that we can also scrub our lips. This is to avoid dried and lined lip which is common as we grow old.

You can visit Scrubs for more beauty tips like how to take care of your nails and make up tips.

The Men Pen

I don't know but when I got pregnant I prefer to always put on make up every time I leave. Some of my officemates even notice it.  Maybe I am getting conscious of my body getting bigger so I want to focus on my face instead.  Its a  good feeling to see yourself beautiful especially when you get comments from others.  I got flattered when this crew from burger machine told me, "I didn't notice that you are pregnant because of your pretty face. "(wew!)  I guess after giving birth I would continue putting on make up to boost my confidence.

About my husband, I always asked him to use my lip balm because most of the time his lips are dry.  I know he doesn't want to carry make up because others might laugh at him or thought that he is gay.  It is not common for a guy to have that kind of stuff before.  But now mens cosmetics are getting popular.  If you stroll inside the mall you will notice that there are a lot of mens makeup available.  You will see men's product like powder, lip gloss, lipstick, concealer etc. One good product that I saw online is The Men Pen.  It is a concealer created especially for men.  It comes with 17 different shades to match different skin tone.  I would like to buy one of this for my husband because he doesn't want to have a facial treatment because of the pain.  I guess he would appreciate it since it would make him look better without the pain.

Acne Problem

3 more months to go and I'm about to give birth. I was praying that it would be a girl. Next will I have a scheduled ultrasound to find out the gender. There are a lot things that frightens me after giving birth. Some of these are how to lose wait, a lot of stretch marks :-( and hormonal change which could cause me again to get acne.

After giving birth to my first son. I go to my OB every three months for a contraceptive injection. I prefer that instead of taking pills because I am a forgetful person. I just put it on my reminder on my cellphone every 3 months. When my kid got 3 yrs old my husband and I decided to have another child.

The dilemma was when I stopped the injection all of the sudden acne started to appear. Mostly on my forehead and cheeks. I got irritated and decided to go with my mom and visit a derma. I don't really go to a dermatologist because I don't really have a problem with my skin. It was a painful experience. They pricked all my acne which at first makes my face swollen a little bit and was advise to avoid sunshine. I was given a soap and liquid medicine that I need to use everyday. I was also scheduled for two more check ups after that. It did help my acne was healed. I don't want to experience that again after giving birth. But in case if it happens again I might try products from Dr. SkinSpa that I saw from the internet.
