6th Year Wedding Anniversary

It was our 6th Year Wedding Anniversary last February 9. I file a leave for 3 days to relax as well. Nothing too fancy, we just had a dinner with our kids at Gerry's Grill in Alabang Town Center. I was able to finish 500g of grilled pusit and Robin was able to finish a sizzling sisig na bangus. David ate chicken with spaghetti.  We share a platter of veggie rice and for beverage Robin had bottomless sago't gulaman, iced tea for David and sarsi for me. Rhaine is not feeling well that night due to a little fever, though she ate a little veggie rice and take sip from David's iced tea.

The following day I went to Pag-ibig in Makati with my mom to pay for our house. My mom and I enjoy chicken sisig and sinigang na tiyan na bangus in Max's restaurant for our lunch. We passed by Glorietta where I saw a 50% sale in Human. At first I was looking for a blouse for me but I ended up buying a polo shirt for Robin. For me I was able to buy a new sandals from Mendrez, it was buy one take one. I really love items on sale.

Thank you Lord for being there with us for the past 6 years. I pray that you will continue to bless our relationship and make it stronger.

Wedding Preparation

Next year, February 9, 2010, will be our 5th year wedding anniversary. I still remember the day before we got married. The preparation is not that easy. We went to Divisoria to look for an affordable and yet elegant bridal gown. It is the same dress maker who made the gowns of our brides maid and flower girls. We need to bring all of them in Divisoria for the designer to measure their body size.

A lot of people helped us in the said event. My tita weng take care of my bouquet and the flowers of the little girls. And it is tita melet who take care of our wedding invitation. The invitation are color green, which is my wedding motif. My sister in law is the one who prepared the wedding video. Although the reception is held at Max's Restaurant, my parents also prepared food at home for those who will not be able to go there.

It was a tiring day yet it is one of the most important event in my life. I felt different emotions that day that is hard to explain. To my friend who is planning to get married next year, Congratulations!

Do not Marry If...

In the book Love Life For Every Married Couple by Ed Wheat it mentions 3 things that you need to consider before getting married.

1. Physically

Do not marry if you are not physically ready. This means you are ready to leave your parents and start your own family. Most Filipinos live with their parents after marriage. This is not good in building good relationship. You will not have privacy and develop an intimacy with each other. No matter how close you are with your parents there are some things that you as couple should only share.

2. Emotionally

Do not marry if you are not emotionally ready. When you get married you should be emotionally independent of your own family. You should not put on your mind the idea of going back to your mom when problem occurs. It should be your partner who should fill your emotional needs and vice versa.

3. Financially

Do not marry if you are not financially ready. You should be able to maintain a household. 50% of couples who separates are because of financial issue.
