Suntel 350

We are planning to move next week and since there is no telephone available yet in our area I decided to apply for Suntel Wireless Plan 350. It got approved and I got the phone yesterday. I was given 3 phones to choose from and I got the Nokia C1-01. I was told that I have unlimited calls locally (Cavite Area), unlimited calls to any SunTel or Digitel Landline, NDD and IDD are pre-activated but of course there is a charge. One thing that I don't like though is that they don't offer security code for NDD or IDD calls. What I did instead is activate security keyguard on my phone so that a keycode is needed before you can unlock and start using it. In less than 24hours our line got activated and I was able to try it last night. At first I am unable to call. After making a call using our area code 046 it started to work. I tried again with out the area code and I can call local numbers, yey. My number is also a local telephone number not what I read online saying their number is a cellphone number. I am not sure if its a different plan. Anyways I hope I would have good experience since I am tied to a 24 months contract. 

New Linoleum Flooring

Less than two weeks from now we will move to our new sweet home. Last Sunday as preparation we decided to put linoleum flooring for the mean time. Cement floor is very dusty and since we have kids (small ones) having easy to clean and affordable flooring is a good idea. Urgh! My bad, I made a wrong calculation of how much we need. So what happen then is we went back to SM to buy more linoleum. Unfortunately when we came the design that we bought is no longer enough for what we need. We then decided to get a different color and design. Well I just think of it as a division, hehe, since we don't have room division yet. The first column I said is the bedroom and then the remaining different design is for the sala and the kitchen. Anyway in the future (???) we would like to replace it with tiles. 

Mother's Day 2011

Well nothing special for this day. I slept with my mom house after painting our house the day before mother's day. I wake up early around 4am, eat breakfast and take bath. I slept again after a while. We did not prepare any food for the day I just greeted my mom happy mother's day. We stayed in the house the whole day watching TV. We match Pacquiao and Mosley fight even though we are already told that Manny won the game. Mosley keeps on running and I would say its not a good fight. Mosley make it too easy for Manny. Anyway we went home around 7pm. Even though we did not make any special celebration I am very thankful for my mom. Just like what they said nobody can replace the love of a mother. Truly I thank God for giving me my mom. Once again, Happy Mother's Day! Thanks to all those people who texted me and greeted me in FB. I did not reply to any of them.... 

Starting a New Life

We are planning to move to our new house before the school year start this coming June. I am so excited to move and start a new life. It is going to be a new environment, new neighbor, new friends, new school and new teacher for my kid.

I already enrolled my son David at Harrell Horne Integrated School inside Pag-asa Subdivision. Good thing my husband find out that there is a gate near us where we can ride a tricycle going to the school. I already paid for his books but I still need to save money for his uniform and school materials. He will use the black shoes that we bought last school graduation and will use again his school bag. We will just dispose his old uniforms by giving it to a neighbor that will plan to enroll there. Thank you Lord for all this blessing and continue to guide us as we start a new life in a new place. 

Painting Job

The house the we purchased is bare inside so part of the things that we need to do is to paint the walls. My husband first put "lason" on the walls. He was told by some of his friends that the wall needs to be "lason" so that the paint will stay on much better. After that we hired one of his friend to put "masilya" on it. Since we are on a tight budget we decided to do the painting. Last Saturday we bought Davies Megacryl Latex paint from Ace Hardware. It cost P744.50 per 4liters. Since my favorite shade is green and my husband wanted something light we agreed to get Lime Lily color. It looks like yellow green. The paint is semi-gloss so the texture is really good. We are able to consumed two 4 liters can for the first coating. This weekend we will do the 2nd coating. Thanks to my mom who volunteered to pay for the paint first, hehehe. I will pay her on my next pay day. My feet really ached after the painting job since I am wearing a sandals then. I am not supposed to paint during that day but since my husband doesnt have anyone to help him I decided to paint as well even though I am wearing a maong pants, a sandals and don't have extra shirt. Good thing Robin brought two t-shirts. I used the other one while painting. We are looking forward for the next weekend to finish the wall paint. @_@

Performance Review

My company may not be the best worldwide but I would say one of the best amongst the company I've worked for. My most favorite benefit is the yearly bonus + the yearly increase. Your bonus will be based on the company's income while your increase will be based on your performance. I've been in the company for almost 3 years and I may not be that overwhelmed but I would say I am satisfied with what I am getting. So far this is the longest company I've worked with. I am hoping of getting a good career not just salary as I stay with APC. 

Cebu Pacific Piso Fare

Last Saturday we got excited about the piso fare offered by Cebu Pacific. I've heard of this before but I really haven't seen a P1 price when I tried to browse on their website. That night my husband and I tried to browse through all the dates for January to March 2012. They offer piso fare for all domestic flight on the said month and also piso fare on selected countries. We got excited when we saw P1 as a fare. I even called my mom and told her we will book a flight maybe going to Cebu. Well, too bad, we are not able to find a round trip for P1. Its too late I guess since the promo started early in the morning and we are checking their website at around 8:30PM. We are able to see some great offer like going to Puerto Princes for only P650 and we are able to find P1 fare going back. With so much excitement I decided to register so that I would receive email from them if they have promos like these. I am hoping that next P1 fare we will be able to book a vacation for our family.

Too Busy for Holy Week

It looks to me that a lot of people are very busy celebrating Holy Week. Remembering how Jesus Christ died for us to save us from our sins. It's a holiday for regular employees but for us in the call center it just a regular work day (though we are given premium pay). I was able to see people carrying "palaspas," I've heard of those making "penitensya" and "panata", people doing confession, attending different mass, some people are having reunions and summer outing etc.

The week pass by just like any other regular days. I find myself too busy on lot of things. I am busy at work, busy on FB and other online stuff, busy with household chores, busy with my family, busy preparing for our new house, busy watching TV, busy on what to eat, busy on what to wear, busy thinking on what will happen in the future, so busy on this earthly things. I am always worried on lots of things and forgot that there is God. I become so independent and forgot that God is there to help me. I try to solve my problems on my own strenghth and forgot that God is just waiting for me so that I will not be so weak. 

I think I need a break and spend time renewing my faith and love for Jesus. With lots of responsibilities, I focused too much on what I need to do. I focused too much on our needs, my family needs. I focused too much on me, I, myself..... forgetting my first love, Jesus. 

Lord, forgive me for being to selfish and starting to do things on my own. Sorry for neglecting you and sorry for not being a good servant. I really am not a good child but I do thank you for your unconditional love. I thank you for your helping hand even I am not asking for help. I thank you for everything. Please help me to come back to your loving arms and start again the flame in my heart. 

New Panel Door

We are planning to move to our new house before the school year starts. The front door of our house is made of plywood and is hollow inside so we decided to replace it with a wooden panel door. We are able to buy one in Gardenia for P3000 + P350 for the installation. It is somewhat similar to the picture on the left side. It has four panels however the four panel are of the same size. It doesn't have color yet and my mom says it is much better to use varnish rather than paint. The carpenter told us we can use mahogany color of varnish to make it look like narra. We are told the door is made of "tanguile wood." I also bought a double lock door with elegant door knob, it looks like the picture on the right side. I think got it for P1400 (sale original price is P1700) from Ace hardware. I used my P300 points from my SM Advantage Card so I only pay for P1100.

I remember before the hassle of going to Alabang Municipal Hall and fall in line for almost whole day just to apply for a birth certificate. Now just by the click of the mouse you can apply online and wait at home for your birth certificate to be delivered. Just visit https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/frmIndex.asp and click on Request for copies of Birth / Marriage / Death Certificate / CENOMAR (Singleness)..

Accept the Terms and Condition and then fill out the form. It will give you a confirmation page. Print 2 copies one for yourself and one you need to give to BDO (Banco de Oro) when you make a payment. On my experience I was able to receive it I think after 3 days when I made a payment. It was delivered to our house and I was asked to present a valid ID. This is really a good experience and I hope all government agency that we have will be modernize and use the power of technology.
