Fashion Eyeglasses at an Affordable Price

I have mention here on my blog that my eye is twitching for a few days now. I feel it is stress that is causing it and eye strain because of too much use of computer. I guess I should get a reading glass or maybe consult on optometrist since my right eye vision is a little bit blurry.

Getting a pair of eyeglasses is now quite expensive.Good thing I find out online about Zenni Optical. They actually offer fashion eyeglasses at a cheap price with a high quality. It is cheap because it is manufactured overseas in a lab in China and shipped with no middleman. One disadvantage though is you need to wait for a few weeks before you get it. So if you need it badly like an hour or two better go to a local store.

Their price starts at an amazing $8! You will definitely find what you need because they offer different eyeglasses with different style. You can select either by price, by the type of frame, and categories like children, women and men. If you are looking for goggles they also have it. It is very easy to order: just choose your frame, enter your prescription type and PD choices, click order, add to cart and you are ready to go.

Mamu's Birthday

Today is my mom's birthday. Just like last year we are going to celebrate it at my tito's resort at Endaya Cove in Cuenca, Batangas. Right now I am still at work and I guess they are almost there. Currently it is 6:30am and my mom says they will pick up David around 5am and will go straight in Batangas.

I am excited to swim in pool and take picture taking. I am sure there will be lots of food too. We will stay they for the night. I asked my husband to bring blanket sbecause we will stay at the big kubo house and since it is near the mountain and taal lake it will be a cold evening. Two more hours and my shift is over. I'll just post some pics here when we come back.

Eyelid Twitching

For the past 2 weeks I noticed that the eyelid of my left eye moves involuntarily. I am concern because it is doing it more often everyday. I just read in Facebook about our previous manager who all of the sudden got cerebral palsy. In my mind there was this thinking what if it leads to such disease and this is just a start. Waaaa!!!!

I did a search online and this is quite common. Technically it is called blepharospasm. There are a lot of causes for our eye to twitch and the way to cure it is to find out what is the root cause. Some of reason that can cause eye twitching are:

  • Stress
  • Tiredness
  • Eyestrain
  • Caffeine
  • Alcohol
  • Dry Eyes
  • Nutritional Imbalances
  • Allergies
I guess mine are caused by stress at work, lack of sleep and eyestrain. I work on a computer for 8hours a day for 5 weeks and when I get I home I still use computer. I worked at graveyard shift and usually I only get 3-5hours of sleep. I've been doing this routine for almost 5 years now. Wow! I guess this is the price of me not taking care of myself. My OB told me once I should get at least 6-8hrs of sleep or else I might get high blood problem when I age a little bit more.

It is so hard to stop or avoid using computer. Given a chance between TV and computer I would rather play online the whole day rather than watch. I guess this a matter of choice, it is up to me on how will take care of myself.

House Blessing

Last Saturday we went to Imus to attend the house blessing of X-ty's new house. She is one of my officemate and my batchmate too. It is a very cute 2 storey house. She said the inside of the house is green because her partner likes it and there are some yellow paint outside because she likes that color. The floor has a white tile with a touch of green too. I love the bathroom, even though it is not that big she was able to put a small bath tub. She said she bought the bath tub along with the toilet bowl and other accessories as a set for almost 10k in peso. It is color dark violet and her tiles is I think is white with a touch of violet.

She really knows what she wants. Outside the house if you look on the second floor there was a design of a clover leaf which she said is a lucky charm. There was a cute chandelier on the 1st floor for their dining room. She said she would put a big glass on the dining room to make it look bigger. There are two rooms on the second floor. She extended the the second floor to make the master room bigger. There was also a laundry area on the second floor. There are no furniture yet but I believe she will be able to select good one to make the house even better.

This makes me exciting to move to our new house too. The developer of our house says that it might be turn over to us by this year. I hope I will be able to save some money at least to fix the house.

Tongue Tie

We brought Rhaine Danielle to her pedia early this morning to have a measles vaccine. While she was crying her pedia noticed something on her tongue. She said it looks like she has a tongue tie. That is the first time I've heard of it. The doctor says there might be a need to do a small cut on the flesh that is holding her tongue (called frenulum). Hearing the word "cut" scares me.

When I got home I started to google about it. It is also known as 'Ankyloglossia' or 'anchored tongue.' Base on what I've read it is common but usually overlooked. One of the major consequence of untreated tongue tie  is difficulty in speech. For infants you will notice that the baby has difficulty in breastfeeding. They will also have problem chewing/swallowing when you first introduce solid food.

On my baby's case it looks like her frenulum is attached near the front of her tongue. One symptom that I noticed is chewing of food. When I first introduce cerelac, she was having problem swallowing it. Most of the food comes out. I just ignored it thinking she is not yet ready. I just realized now that is one of the effect of her short tongue. I also noticed that she cannot move her tongue more than her gum line. I am afraid of the surgery but I am also concern that she might have difficulty on her speech. I've read some mommies who had their babies undergone the surgery and sounds like nothing to worry. Maybe on our next visit I will talk to her pedia about it.

Dannica's 1st Birthday

Dannica Ravyn Apuntar is my  niece, daughter of my brother Darwin. She was born on February 8 but she celebrated her 1st birthday at Jollibee Molino last Valentine's Day, February 14. As a couple we did not go out for a date. After attending her birthday party, we took a quick peek at Summer Pointe to see the progress of Phase 2 construction (this is where we buy a house) and then bought some groceries and went home.

The party started past 3pm. The host is very funny which makes the party alive. It started by opening prayer followed by games for kids and then a game for adult. Food was served after that. We had burger steak with rice, spaghetti, soft drinks and choco sundae. The rice meal was heavy that I was not able to eat my spaghetti.

When every one is full, the host asked everyone to sing Happy Birthday before Dannica blow her candle cake. Loot bags where given for kids. Jollibee and Hetty are there too and entertain everyone with their dance. The party ended with picture taking with the two mascots. I'll post some pics once I have time getting it from my camera.

Get Quality Eyeglasses for a Low Cost

Our eye is one part of our body which is overly used everyday. With the modern technology that we have, most of us are working in front of a computer which can cause eye problem. More and more people are getting eyeglasses to be able to enjoy reading, watching movies or whatever activities they love to do.

I noticed that my right eye already has a blurred vision and I am planning to get an eyeglass. Getting a pair of eyeglasses now is so expensive. Good thing I heard about Zenni Optical.  They offer eyeglasses at an affordable price with the same quality compare to other branded eyeglasses. Since they don't have any middleman they are able to sell a pair directly from the factory. The price of their eyeglasses starts at $8, really amazing. On their website you will be able to see different eyeglasses they offer arrange by categories. Aside from it being affordable, they have different styles which make it fashionable as well.

If you needed a new eyeglass or just need a replacement try to visit Zenni Optical website. It is not hard to look for what you need since you have an option to either select by price or by style. Just make sure that you have prescription from your doctor before placing an order.

I like to have this one and it is only $9.95.

Work of the Devil

I just noticed that within our neighborhood and even at work a lot of couple are struggling on their marriage or I would say on their relationship. Some are already broken while some are mostly likely going there. I never deny that we also had a fight before that almost lead to separation. I looked at this as work of the devil. Satan is trying to destroy families since it is the main unit of every community. If he is successful in doing that a lot of evil things follow. A lot of problems actually occur.

This comes in to my mind when one day there was this religious group giving away small comics about different issues that we encounter as an individual. But the front page is about separation. I read the part about it and then this came in to my mind that the devil is actually working hard for this. It was mention there that most couple think that if they no longer feel love for each other or they always fight then the best resolution is separation. In the bible it was mention that what God has combined no one should separate. It was also mention that you will not commit sin if the reason of separation is your partner committed adultery.

It is really hard to recover specially if there is no more trust between the couple. Spiritual guidance is needed. I believe if the couple even though no longer feel any thing for each other but has a willingness to follow God will be able to restore their relationship. There are lot of couples that have been in to these situation and when they recover they have better and sweeter relationship. If you have this problem right now seek God's guidance and better have someone (a good servant of God) to give you counseling.
Don't allow Satan ruin your relationship.

5th Year Wedding Anniversary

Last February 9, 2010 was our 5th year wedding anniversary. They said a good gift for this is something made up of wood. Well, we don't have any gift for each other but we had a good time together on that day.

We waited for David, my first son, to come out of school at around 11am so that we can brought the kids to my mom. We decided to have lunch outside and have David cut his hair before going to my mom's house. Good thing though when I send a text message to mommy she is also at SM Molino, the same place where we are going. We had our lunch together with Mamu at Greenwich. We ate fried chicken with rice, spaghetti and hawaiin pizza. It was really a heavy meal, yummy!!! After that we went to a barber shop in the mall to cut David's hair and there also both of us had a relaxing foot spa. My mom went home with my two kids. After the foot spa we also had a pedicure. This is our first time to have a foot spa.

We then decided to watch a movie. Good thing Avatar is still showing since we haven't watched it. Since it is still more than an hour before the start of the next show we decided to spend time playing Bingo. We won the blackout game but we did not get the big prize, we only got P404, hehehe. After more than an hour of playing we bought shawarma so that we can have something to eat inside the cinema. Bad thing the lady on the ticket booth said that it is not allowed inside because of the strong smell. We still have 15mins left before the start of the movie so we ate it with a rush. It is a little messy because of the sauce.

I enjoyed the movie even though all we have left is just mineral water. Before I thought Avatar is a cartoon. The story is really amazing specially the effects. There is no dull moment and that is what I really like. The movie is not for little kids because of the story, maybe a 10 or 11 yrs old will be able to relate to it. Pandora is a beautiful place, I would like to see a forest glittering just like in the movie.

It was almost 8pm when we walked out the movie theater. We played video games for a few minutes before we went to Mamu's house. We just walk from SM Molino going to Camella gate, I guess it is 3-5minutes walk. The kids are excited to see us back and we had our dinner at my mom's house then we went home. It was a tiring day but one of the moments that I will treasure the rest of my life.

Trip to Manila Zoo

Last Monday we went to Manila Zoo to celebrate Dannica's Birthday. She was my neice and is celebrating her 1st birthday. She will also throw a party this coming Sunday, Valentines Day, at Jollibee Molino. I can't remember the last time I went to Manila Zoo. My mom said we are still little kids then. I can say the place is big but it is not well maintained. I guess because of luck of fund. The entrance is worth P40 for adults and P20 for kids. When you enter you will first see the big elephant which my mom says is the same elephant when we were still kids. I guess her/his partner is already dead because he/she is alone. I don't know what's the gender.

There is what you called Kids Zoo inside which the entrance is much higher P65. We did not enter that premises and so I don't know what is special in there. But there is an overlooking in the park where we can see a small view of the kids zoo. There was a fountain and cars for kids, I was not able to see if there is animals inside.

Manila Zoo has very few animals. What I saw are elephant, lots of monkey, tiger, hippopotamus, my mom says there is a lion which I was not able to see, phyton, turtles, crocodile, big lizard, different types of bird etc. Considering the size of the place they should be able to showcase more animals. There are lots of cages that doesn't have any animal. The janitor are so few so when you walk around lots of leaves and some garbage are scattered. I hope Manila invest on the said park to make it a better place for family.

We're still able to have a good time because we are complete as a family. We brought lots of foods and snacks which we are not able to consume. Both my brothers with their family are with us including my mom & dad. It was a great day.

How to Live a Better Life

I've read this story before but a friend of mine send this again while I was working at work. I would like to share it to you guys and hope you get inspired and live a better life.
***

John is the kind of guy you love to hate.   He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say.  When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, 'If I were any better, I would be
twins!'

He was a natural motivator.

If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, 'I don't get it!'

'You can't be a positive person all of the time.

How do you do it?'

He replied, 'Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today.  You can choose to be in a good mood or...you can choose to be in a bad mood

I choose to be in a good mood.'

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it.  I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or...I can point out the positive side of life.  I choose the positive side of life.

'Yeah, right, it's not that easy,' I protested.

'Yes, it is,' he said.  'Life is all about choices.  When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice.  You choose how you react to situations.  You choose how people affect your mood.

You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood.  The bottom line:  It's your choice how you live your life.'

I reflected on what he said.  Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business.  We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, 'If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?'

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

'The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter,' he replied.  'Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices:  I could choose to live or...I could
choose to die.  I chose to live.'

'Weren't you scared?  Did you lose consciousness?'  I asked.

He continued, '...the paramedics were great.

They kept telling me I was going to be fine.  But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared.  In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action.'

'What did you do?' I asked.

'Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,' said John. 'She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.'  The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply.  I took a deep
breath and yelled, 'Gravity''

Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live.  Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.'

He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude....I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.

Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.'  Matthew 6:34.

After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Southeastern College Batch 98

Hi everyone! Just want to reach out to all High School Graduates of SEC Pasay City Batch 1998. I'm from IV-Rizal and my adviser is Mrs. Dacpano. It's been 12yrs now since we graduated and just wanted to see if maybe we can have a reunion. I wonder what happen to everyone, maybe some are already married with kids, some are working or living abroad, some already have mansion.

Isn't it amazing how fast days pass by. I remember those days having chitchat with friends on different part of the campus: at the corridor, at the stairs etc. Making a reviewer every month for a long monthly exams and reviewing with friends in the library or outside the room. One of the most exciting part of the year is the foundation day. There are a lot of booths that makes the school very busy. I remember the haunted classroom where you need to pay I think P5 to go in. There are lots of food, tokneneng are already available those days and outside the school is my favorite sweet corn which you can buy on a small plastic for only P1.

There are lots of happy moments, crushes, school activities, friends..... the rest are history now and just memories. Hope to get in touch with you guys!
