Breakfast at Red Ribbon

My mom and my brother accompanied me going to APC to pass the requirements needed for my SSS maternity benefits. I told my brother I know a shortcut going to the office so that we will not get jammed in traffic. I am not good in memorizing streets, well we did not get lost but we took the long way, hehehe. But then going home I was able to remember the correct path.

Anyways we had a yummy breakfast at Red Ribbon just outside EPZA gate 3. I was not able to take picture of the food before eating but here's a picture of our table after the fulfilling meal.

Brewed Coffee with coffemate. Both my mom and brother had this but me I am not a coffe lover so I had iced tea instead.

My brother had boneless bangus (his plate is on the left) and my mom had longsilog.

Here is my plate, I ate carbonara with chicken lollipop.

Philhealth Reimbursement

Everytime anyone of us gets hospitalized we get an assistance from my healthcard and from Philhealth. It is very very helpful, most of the time I only pay the miscellaneous and sometimes nothing at all.

One thing that I don't like about Philhealth is the reimbursement process. Have you ever tried that? Well, when I got confined last December I was not able to submit philhealth form. I paid for it first which cost me about 4K something. I was told that it would take 3 months to get the reimbursement. Wow! 3 months to process it. I wonder what needs to be done or what kind of processing are they doing that it needs 3 months. In deed after 3 months I received a letter from Philhealth and I was able to get the reimbursement. I need to undergo this process again. When I give birth last July 10, my first son also got hospitalized. I only have a form for me and I was not able to get one for my kid. Urgh! I already knew the process and in this time of crisis of course money is needed. Haayss... I hope our government will improve this and make the reimbursement faster.

Swollen Feet

Its been a week now since I give birth. I am very blessed with a cute baby girl. I have this one problem though. My feet is more swollen now compare to when I was still pregnant. My OB told me before we left the hospital to always elevate my feet specially when I am sleeping. Some advised me to eat taho, monggo, beans etc. Haayss!! I am worried that this might be something else. I have a scheduled check up with my OB this Monday so I will ask her if this is normal. It is quite painful when you press it and its very annoying. I cant even wear some of my sandals. If you have any suggestion please leave a comment. Thanks!

Sweaters

It is raining for two days now because of the storm. The temperature is getting colder and I am thinking of getting a new sweater. I just give birth a week ago and I was told that I should wear clothing that can protect me from cold. I am browsing the web and I saw beautiful sweaters from Ugly Sweaters. Sounds funny, I am not sure why them name it Ugly Sweaters even their designs are very unique and adorable. I would to buy one of those for my two kids and my husband as well.

Since it is already 7th month of the year I think it is also a good idea now to get one of those Ugly Christmas Sweaters. It will be a good gift for your friends and family. Or if you are looking for a gift for men you can also check out their Mens Ugly Sweater. I am sure your gift will be appreciated.
I like this design; I hope they have a size that would fit my little girl.

Their price is very affordable. If you would like get one or see more of their designs visit their website now at Ugly Sweaters. You will not have a problem choosing because they have different categories to choose from.

First Monthly Exam

My son just got out of the hospital last Monday due to fever and cough. We did not let him go to school on Tuesday to rest. This morning I am surprised and happy because for the first time he did not cry at all in school and his dad did not stay inside the classroom nor glance in the window. He also did get a lot of stars on their activities.

I hope it will continue. I am not sure if telling him that he is already a "kuya" or big brother help. I told him since he is already a kuya he should not cry at school so that Danielle (her little sister) will be proud of him. I also told him to teach baby Danielle ABC's and 123's when she grow up. I am trying my best not to build jealousy in him because that is mostly a problem of having a new baby in the family. Tomorrow will be their first monthly exam. We did very little review since he played computer the whole day because of being good and behave at school. I hope he will get good grades.

The Long Wait is Over

(11th day of my ML) This is it! The long wait is over. In an hour will be leaving going to the hospital for my scheduled operation tomorrow at 8am. I will be confine in Las Pinas Medical Center and my OB is Dr. Lorena Protacio. She is also my OB gyne when I give birth to my first child 4 years ago.

I already packed everything. Our clothes and baby Daniel's clothes etc. My husband bought Winrho earlier in Mandaluyong. For those who are RH negative and in need of Rhogam you can call 746-6895. They sell a different brand which is Winrho for P15,500. I got Rhogam I think in March or April for only 6K+. I am not sure if the distributor of Rhogam is hoarding the medicine to increase its price as well.

My mother-in-law told me to memorize Psalms 23 and make it a prayer before the operation. I pray to God that He will take good care of everything. He will guide all the doctors and make me and my baby safe. I will not be able to post for a few days since I will be in the hospital. I'll post updates about me and my baby when we get home. See yah! ^_^

Seven... Eight... Nine...

(10th day of my ML) 07/08/09 - This should be the birthday of my second baby. We choose this date so that its easy to remember. Due to Rhogam unavailability we need to move the operation. I visited my OB this morning and we scheduled my operation on Friday at 8am. We have no choice but to buy a different brand of medicine which is Winrho, which is more than double the price of Rhogam.

We will go to the hospital tomorrow evening. I was advised to take a rest to avoid having early labor. I pray that everything will be all right and there will be no need for blood since it is more difficult to look for my blood type. Please pray for my safe delivery.

Postpone

(9th day of my ML) Tonight I should be lying down in the hospital waiting for my operation early in the morning. Since the medicine that I need for my blood type RH negative is not available we need to postpone the operation.

My OB give me a supplier who also sells a medicine for RH negative patients but then their selling different brand. What they have in Winrho, which is more than twice the price of Rhogam. Rhogam is about 6k+ while Winrho is 15K+. They said its price is around 6k before as well but there was a sudden increase. I wonder maybe Rhogam is unavailable bec. of the change of price. Maybe when it comes out that price would be somewhere the same price of Winrho. Anyway I will visit my OB again tomorrow for another check up and probably resched the operation on Friday. Its really hard to have a royal blood! @_@

Rhogam, Out of Stock!

(8th day of my ML) Supposedly this post should be for yesterday but I fall asleep as well when I was letting David go to bed. I'll be speaking as if it is still Monday, hehehe!

I visited my OB this morning. It is my brother and sister in law who accompanied me since I don't want David to miss school since he is improving when it comes to having his dad at room. He now allow Robin to stay outside the class. He would just glance once in a while in the window. He also gets a star everyday... I hope when I give birth and his Lola bring him to school there will be no changes but more improvement.

My baby's heart beat is okay. My OB also told me to avoid moving around since my cervix is already soft to avoid going in to labor before my scheduled operation. I though everything is all set. I will go back to the hospital the next evening and give birth around 8am on July 8. Now I am not sure if we will be able to do that because Rhogam is out of stock! Waaaa!!!!

To those who are not aware. My blood type is RH negative which is very rare. You can read my recent post about this. I need this medicine to avoid having problem when I give birth again. I called different hospitals like Asian Hospital, Medical City, St. Luke's, Manila Doctors, San Juan de Dios etc. All of them doesn't have the medicine except St. Lukes, someone from the pharmacy said they only have one in stock which reserve for in-patient. Makati Medical Center, where we got the medicine before, said it is the supplier who doesn't have the stock but they already placed an order. I will try to call them back tomorrow and I hope it is already available or else we might need to reschedule my operation. Haaysss!

It's Getting Near

(7th day of my ML) 3 more days and baby Danielle will be born. I wonder what she looks like. Tomorrow I am planning to clean and sterilized her feeding bottles. I will also visit my OB for the last time before my scheduled operation on Wednesday morning. Please pray for my safe delivery.

Since we are living with our relative our space is not that big. It makes the temperature hotter and we don't have any airconditioner. My husband wants us to rent a small house or buy an airconditioner for the kids. I was thinking if we could afford it since I don't have any salary for 2 months and I still have to pay monthly bills. We don't have any decision yet. I told my husband next year the house that we bought will be ready and we need to save money to improve it since it will be given to us bare.

It is really hard to manage a family specially if it is growing. But as long us both of us, husband and wife, are there for each other and God in the middle I know we will be able to get through anything. To God be the glory!

Chicken Marinade

Ingredients:

chopped crushed garlic
ground pepper
salt
soysauce
vinegar
chopped chicken

Mixed all ingredients and refrigerate. Me I prefer to have a lot of pepper and garlic but its up to you. You can also used this for porkchop or liempo. This is good either for fried or grilled. Yummy! This is what we had for dinner today.

(6th day of my ML) David is still with my mom. I did nothing today but play dota and of course using my favorite hero, morphling. If you have GG client you can add me, dheiyzhie12.

Tocino for Lunch

(4th day of my ML) Before David went to school I told him I will cook his favorite cornedbeef. But then I changed my mind and cooked tocino instead. It is because I decided to make fried rice and its a good partner with tocino. I did not fry egg though.

How do you cook tocino? Me, I boiled the tocino until the water is gone and then add some oil to fry it. Don't put to much water or else you will lose its flavor. Simmer it in low fire. It is a good lunch for us. Yummy!

As usual Robin stayed inside David's classroom. David did have some stars and smiley on their school activities. One problem though is he doesn't like to color a lot. If the teacher ask them to color too many items he will not finish it. He learned the difference between inside and outside today. Tomorrow their topic is the difference between on and under. I already taught him in advance. I hope he will not forget about it tomorrow.

Not much to say. Thanks for the quotation that you send me TL Mavic!

3rd Day of my ML

I cooked sinigang na buto-buto today. I wonder what to cook tomorrow. I guess most of my post during my leave is more about David going to school and my new baby. Robin accompanied David inside his classroom so he did not cried a lot. He went home with two smileys, one on each hands. As a little reward I let him play computer games today. I told my husband we need to sacrifice a little bit for David. I am planning to go with David maybe after I give birth. I am thankful for my husband for bringing our little boy to school everyday. There still no change in the weather it still very very hot.

I had a bad news before going to sleep. My mom called me because she needs to borrow my digital camera. Our van had a little accident in Quezon. It is a good thing nobody is hurt but then there is big damaged caused by the bus hitting the back of the van. I hope everything will be alright, they were hoping that the bus company will cover the expense of the repair.

Good Night and God Bless!
