It's Getting Near

My husband applied for work in Dubai.  They got interviewed right away because the employer is here when they applied.  He was told by the agency that it might take 2-4 weeks for the result. To our surprised, he got a message last Friday night and he was one of the applicants that are selected and he needs to report on Monday.  I think he will under go medical examination and if lucky will leave before the end of June.

I am happy for him. He wanted to get a job to help our growing family.  But at the same time I am sad and afraid. What will I do or how will I able to manage our family?  I am actually praying that their flight will be move on July so that I already give birth before he left.  We've been married for four years and I am used to have him around the house. Either simple or big things I have him helping me.  This time I need to be able to handle everything on my own.  He said they will be allow to go home after 18 months.

As days pass by I need to prepare myself and my son of him not being around.  I pray to God to strengthen me to be able to take care of our family. I also pray to guide him and strengthen him as well and not feel homesick while away from us.  I know for sure I will miss him a lot. :-(

Farewell

It was a sudden surprise. Although I've already heard the news yesterday it was confirmed by our CCC Manager, Dexter Clemente that he is resigning. He is resigning not because the company is in a not so good condition but because of a very personal matter.  He said his mother who is sick requested for him to stop working and spend more quality time with her.  He's been working for decade now and spending some of his time with his mom would not be a waste of time. He doesn't want to regret in the future if he declined his mother's request.  Without his knowledge her mom sold a property so that he will not be able to reason out the need of money in giving up his career.

This is really a sad farewell. Although he said it would not be immediate because he would be part of the screening process of getting a replacement, still the thought of him leaving saddened the people in CCC.  We are of the same batch and he is with the company for a year now.  He made a lot of changes within the company and to the lives of people in the office.  He is not just a good manager but also a good friend to most of the people.  I think he might still be with the company until July.  I would be on my maternity leave this end of June so I will not be able to witness his last days in the office.

His reason is heart touching.  I am really amazed with his decision of giving up his career for the sake of him mom.  It was really tough but I know he would not regret it.  Just like what he said, he can still look for another career but he cannot look for another mom. To you Dex, I salute you, you've inspired a lot of people to value their work and most of all inspired us to value our loved ones as well.  God Bless You!

Toddler Tantrums

My son David is going 4-yrs old this coming June. He was a very behave child and some one who listens to instructions. I am very proud of him for being a good baby boy.

Recently I noticed he was throwing tantrums very very often. It looks like his attitude change d all of the sudden. He would cry on very simple things like his Dad just going outside the house, can't get his milk or water right away, he was getting lost on his computer games etc. He doesn't have those attitudes before. Some of my elder relatives told me it is because we are going to have a new baby and the child is seeking for more attention.

Wow! It's really hard to deal with a child's tantrum. I worked at night and most of the time I would do my house chores, computer activities and take a rest. Imagine he would cry out loud and would not stop no matter what you say. If you asked him what is the problem he would not even talk as well. He would just keep on crying and crying, what a head ache. My husband lost his temper two days ago and spank him with his golf toy several times. I did not stop my husband but I felt pity for my child. I would like to stop my husband and just hug my baby but I was thinking that would make my husband as a bad guy and will look at us having different opinions. hmmm.... I really don't know what to do. I don't want to be too good that I may spoil him or too firm that he might think that we don't love him. I hope everything will be alright when his little sister is born.

My Camera

Yehey! After two weeks of waiting my cute camera Casio Exilim EX-Z80 is now working. If you notice for the past weeks most of my blogs doesn't have pictures it is because my camera is in repair. I was able to get it last Monday. After my check up with my OB we went to SM Southmall to have some groceries. We were already outside the mall on our way home when I remember my camera. I asked my husband to go back instead since I am already tired walking. He was not able to test it because it doesnt have a battery. When we got home I tested it right away and wow the screen is back. It no longer have lines and I am not sure but I find it more clearer, maybe because I haven't use if for a while. So the first thing that I did is take a pictures of Danielle's gift from my baby shower and make a post. I am so glad I got my camera back but its also sad not be able to capture some other events and beautiful moments for the past few weeks.

My Husband's Scent

It is my husband's habit to shower his body and t-shirt with cologne every time we are going to leave. Some times even just at home he would do that. I would even tease him maybe he is trying to impress someone in our neighborhood. He prefers using cologne rather than perfume. He finds perfume too strong and gives him a headache. Right now his current cologne is dunhill, a gift from his mother. I saw some chrome cologne online at a very affordable price. I would ask my husband if he would like to try one of it.

Danielle's First Gift

We won the best team for the month of February. As an incentive our team was given GC.  Our TL decided to give 500 worth of GC to each one of us in the team.  One of my team mate Jack decided to give her GC to me as a gift for my baby girl.  It was Danielle's first gift. Below is the picture of what I bought for her.  Thank you very much Jacquilyn! (I'm not sure if I spelled your name right.

Baby Shower

It was my TL's idea to hold a baby shower for me. "Thanks! TL Mavic, not just for being a good leader, but for being a friend... I really appreciate this baby shower event earlier!"  It was held in Max's Restaurant SM Bacoor.  Before having our lunch they let me open their gifts first.  It feels like my birthday hehehe... Baby Danielle received baby clothes, pillows, toy, baby powder and shampoo, mittens & booties, feeding bottles, powder milk container and bottle brush.  My camera is not yet fix so I don't have pictures. I hope I can get a copy from TL Tine.

I would like to thank everyone,

The Men Pen

I don't know but when I got pregnant I prefer to always put on make up every time I leave. Some of my officemates even notice it.  Maybe I am getting conscious of my body getting bigger so I want to focus on my face instead.  Its a  good feeling to see yourself beautiful especially when you get comments from others.  I got flattered when this crew from burger machine told me, "I didn't notice that you are pregnant because of your pretty face. "(wew!)  I guess after giving birth I would continue putting on make up to boost my confidence.

About my husband, I always asked him to use my lip balm because most of the time his lips are dry.  I know he doesn't want to carry make up because others might laugh at him or thought that he is gay.  It is not common for a guy to have that kind of stuff before.  But now mens cosmetics are getting popular.  If you stroll inside the mall you will notice that there are a lot of mens makeup available.  You will see men's product like powder, lip gloss, lipstick, concealer etc. One good product that I saw online is The Men Pen.  It is a concealer created especially for men.  It comes with 17 different shades to match different skin tone.  I would like to buy one of this for my husband because he doesn't want to have a facial treatment because of the pain.  I guess he would appreciate it since it would make him look better without the pain.

Hot Summer

My work schedule is at night. Usually I will get home between 9-10am and I would take a sleep in the afternoon. Since it is summer I was having a hard time sleeping because of the hot temperature. I would always wake up in the middle of my sleep. I really have a hard time getting a good rest. That is why I guess most of the time I am sleepy at work. I think I should start saving money and get an air conditioning unit. I knew my family would love to have it as well. This would be a good idea as well since I will give birth this coming July.

Working Abroad

A lot of my schoolmates in high school and college are already working abroad. Some in the US, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Japan etc. I don't know, but I've never dream of working abroad. I want to travel , maybe have a vacation, but not work in other countries. I still prefer to stay here in the Philippines with my family and friends.

My husband is having a hard time looking for a job here so he is planning to work abroad instead. He will have an interview later this morning and I am not sure what to ask God. I want him to go but there is a feeling of fear that me and my kids will be left alone. He said, he don't have any plans of working abroad for a long time. Just a single contract of 2 or 3 yrs maybe enough to save money and put up a small business.

There is a possibility of him leaving before I give birth this coming July. I really have this anxiety of what will happen or what will I do. I knew a lot of family with father's working abroad and they are actually fine. I guess I just need to get use to it. Whatever happens I pray God will lead us on what would be the best decision to do. I really love my family.

3 L's that we should do about the Word of God

Bible - "Word of God" ; There has never been a book written like it.

Some Facts about the Bible:
1. It was written over 40 Generations
2. It was written over 40 Authors from many walks of Life (kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, poets, phropets etc)
3. First book to be printed in 1454
4. It was written from about 1450 BC to 100 AD
5. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek but now the bible is written  in 6,000 different languages around the world.
6. The word "Trinity" is never mentioned in the Bible
7. Last used word in the bible is "Amen"

The Bible is really amazing.  It is the word of God for all generation.  If you have questions about life read the bible.  It is advisable to meditate on God's word so that when problem or temptation occurs you have a word of God to cling on.

We should:
1. Love the Word of God
2. Learn the Word of God
3. Live the Word of God

Racist

I believe God created all of us equally. We have our own unique identity and our own talent. I cannot understand how some people look at themselves superior that anyone else. Some whites or Americans actually look at their race superior than anybody else; this is based on my experience as a Technical Support Agent.

It is very rare that you get those kinds of call but sometimes it gives me a headache and pain inside me every time I get one. I just got one earlier today. After my greeting my customer's question is "Are you from Rhode Island?" , which is our main office in the US. I said no, "I am from the Philippines." He then said right away that he wanted to be transferred. He is also very hesitant in giving information.

I transferred the call and listen to them for a few seconds. Customer actually mentions that he almost threw up when he find out that our company has support from other countries. He even said that we will lose a lot of client if the company will keep those support. Haaaay.... it really strikes me and gives me kind of a hatred on him. But then I realized I should not be affected. I just need to accept that there are really people like him who are racist. Maybe he has a bad experience with some foreign support. But still I don't agree with him. I may not have fair skin, green or blue eyes, blonde hair or good height but then I do have talent and capabilities of my own, best of all I know how to respect others.

Mother's Day

We celebrate Mother's Day here in the Philippines every 2nd Sunday of May. During this day we recognized our mother and usually bring gifts or letter to thank her for everything. I wonder what gift would I give my mom.

Tomorrow we will celebrate two events, Mother's Day and Christening of my brother's daughter. I will go to SM Southmall later to bring my camera to Compex, where I purchased it, because the LCD is damaged. I hope they will fix it under the warranty.

I will stroll around the mall and will search for a gift for my mom and my niece. I am also planning to buy school supplies for my little boy who will go to nursery school. I hope I will find something affordable for my mom and niece.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS OUT THERE!

Pag-Ibig MSVS

I am really excited about moving to our new house by next year. Last week my agent send me a text message and said I can go their office and sign the deed of sale contract. One of the requirements though is the Pag-Ibig MSVS.

The nearest Pag-ibig in our area is the Imus Branch. I was told that they hold a Pag-Ibig Counseling every Thursday only. They have a 9am and a 12 noon schedule. So yesterday after my shift, which is 8am, I asked my friend to drop me off in Imus so that I could attend the counseling. Although it is raining I still went there because I don't want to wait another week.

When I went in I find out that you actually need to reserved a schedule since it is limited to number of people only. I thought I need to come back next week but then the lady called someone and asked if they can still accommodate three more people. Thanks to God and they allow us to attend.

I am really sleepy during that day because the day before that me and my mom went to baclaran to my developers office to get the documents. Anyway that is a different story. I was not able to absorb everything that was discussed. There I find out that the monthly contribution that we pay to pag-ibig is given back to the member at a certain time as long as you are a good payer and there is no discrepancy. So those contribution are actually savings as well. Its good to know.

Online Payments

Most companies uses internet in promoting their service and also providing services to their customer. One of the common services over the web is making online payments. This is common for all banks and you can also do shopping online.

I've been doing online payments for more than 3 years now and so far I don't have any issue. That is where I used to pay my credit card and telephone bills. Actually I find it very convenient because I can do it anytime of the day and my payment is considered as payment on that same day. I don't need to go the hassle of traveling just to pay my bill.

Others are afraid of doing payments online because of fraud. There are a lot of fraud issues over the web but I guess as long as you are careful on what you are clicking and knows how to read carefully you will not be a victim. One of my techniques to avoid getting hack is not to save my password even if I am using my own computer.

If you haven't tried making online payment better try it now. All banks are making sure that their website has good security.

Core Values of CCF

L - Love God, family and Other

E -  Evangelism & Discipleship

A - Authority of the Bible & Spiritual Leaders

D - Dependence on the Holy Spirit and Prayer

S - Serve in small group

Last Sunday in the church we were told about the core values of CCF.  All CCF people should have this values which will serve as guidelines on how to be a good follower of Jesus Christ.

There are 3 kinds of Love that was mention during the service:

1. Love for the Savior
    - Jesus said if you love me you will keep my word / commandment

2. Love for the Saints
    - this refers to loving God's family and
    - loving immediate family

3. Love for the Sinners
   - we should help the weak, especially those we knew cannot pay us in return
   - show your love to unbelievers so that they will see the love of Christ
   - we should associate with the lowly
