Online Shopping

Shopping is one habit most girls like.  We like strolling in the malls, going to different boutiques, compare prices, take advantage of bargain or sale etc.  It's really fun to shop.

Have you ever tried shopping online?  Well, me personally I haven't.  But they say it is more convenient and you will be able to see more things.  You don't need to go to the hassle of traveling and walking the mall.  You don't need to fix yourself and you can take a break anytime.  They say you can get a lot of Awesome Deals online like discounts and some offer free shipping. Maybe I will try it sometime.

Having Faith in Midst of the Impossible

Faith, believes in things that is unseen, like believing in God. We actually have faith on a lot of things that we maybe are not aware of. Example, sitting on chair believing that it can take our weight, riding a bus or jeep believing that it will bring us safe to our destination, eating food in restaurant believing that it's clean and would not cause any disease etc. How is your faith in God? Or do you have faith in Him? Do you only worship and give thanks to Him when everything is smooth in your life?

I think it is human nature to only pray when things are not doing right. We must change that attitude and learn to pray no matter what the situation is. Most of the time we pray more often when we are having difficulties in life. If everything is all right we just say "Thank you, Lord or forget about Him. We tend to relax and think that everything is under control.

How do you think we can improve our faith with God? Romans 10:17 (King James Version) says "So then faith cometh by hearing, hearing the word of God." If you don't know God's word or I would say God's promises how would claim it or believe in it. We should do our part as children of God. This is what I learned last Sunday service. We should KNOW God's word, BELIEVE in God, OBEY God and PRAY with thanks giving.

True faith is tested in times of trial. Let say you are praying for healing of your love one but instead God take him away, you are praying for financial help but it seems like its getting worst and you are losing more, you are praying for your husband or wife but instead they betray you and leave you for someone else. When God says no to your prayer, how do you react? Do you blame God or do you still continue worshipping and praising him?

"Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" this is Job's answered to his wife when he was told to curse God and die. Right now I am having financial problem. My husband doesn't have a job, I am thinking of hospital bills when I give birth this coming July, how will be able to survive for 2 months during my maternity leave when I don't have income, my credit card bills, enrollment of my son this coming June... etc. Though I am not getting enough sleep, sometimes I am not feeling well, my back hurts due to pregnancy I couldn't afford to absent because of our financial needs. A lot of times I wanted to give up but I know there is no escape and things will not get better if I will not be strong enough to face this trial. I also don't want my kid to suffer if I give up. After the service, it was then I realize I was having a very big burden because I am carrying all of these all by myself and forget about God. I walk on my own ways, look for my own solution and forget that there is a big God who is bigger than my problem.

I pray to God to forgive me for neglecting Him and I know we will be able to surpass this trial. No matter what happen I don't want to lose my relationship with Him. I know God's in control and He knows what is best for me.

Handmade Batik Online Store

Are you familiar with batik? You may not know it but I am sure you have seen one somewhere. It is a wax resist dyeing technique in textile, which is an ancient tradition in Java Indonesia. Some of the finest batik cloths are still made there.

On the left is a picture of a batik bed cover. I saw this in one of the Batik store online. I like it because of its simple design and also the fact that green is my favorite color. Its only $65.99 and it includes one bed sheet, two pillows and one bolster cover.

Try to browse their website at http://www.krafonline.com/ and see their other designs. They use batik in different items like shirts, bags and pouches, stationery, scarves and ties, gifts and souvenir items and house-holds items like bed cover and table set.

If you are interested in any of their items you can use this coupon code, crafty, and get 10% on your purchase. Don't miss this opportunity. For entrepreneur or those who wanted to start business in selling batik items you can contact them for bulk orders. For their latest announcement and product updates you can also visit their batik blog.

This shoe is one of their products that you will find in their store in the next few days.

Nursery School

My little boy is 3yrs old going 4 this coming June. I would like to enroll him in nursery but I was thinking if it's worth it. Tuition fees now for a private school are really expensive and other says that it's better to do home schooling.

I wonder what nursery students do in school. David already know how to count from 1-10 and sing the ABC. I was thinking he would learn how to write, color and socialize with other kids and maybe do a couple of singing and dancing. Preschool now have nursery, kinder and prep unlike during my days you just enter kinder then you can start grade 1 or sometimes you can start at grade 1 right away.

It amazes me that nursery has a computer subject because I only study computer I guess in high school. We might visit Saint Benedictine School near our house this Monday and probably enroll him for this coming school year. I am excited about it though my pocket is not, I hope this will help David learn new things and improve himself as an individual.

Citifinancial 24-hours Loan Application

Yesterday I went to CITIFINANCIAL in Imus to inquire for their 24-hours loan application. I guess because I have a Citibank Credit Card and don't have any record of delinquent payment I was given an approval that same day.

Their service is too fast... there is no question about it. But the thought of having a big amount of loan gives me a combination of both joy and fear. Joy because of getting the money that I need and fear not able to pay it and get harass by their collecting agents.

I've read a lot of complaints and harassment over the internet especially those who have loans with Citifinancial.

Below are some of the forums about their experiences.... kinda scary...

CitiFinancial - Mga Bastos
Collection Agency Harassment
Credit Card Delinqency
Walang Konsensya

Those agents treat you like criminals and they will even send people to your house to scare you. They will even call your office and even harass you co-workers and make a shame of you. My mom have the same experience with those people when she retired from work but after few months of harassment my mom decided to talk to the attorney and settle the bill. She was given an amnesty.

I hope I will not experience those horrible stories I've read on the internet and be able to pay my loan on time.

Loan Application

I am about to give birth and I need to have some money to cover the expenses. I had a cesarean operation with my first baby and probably I would under go the same operation. Although I will be able to get financial assistance from SSS that is not enough to cover everything. I also need money for the 2 months of leave with out salary. Haaays!!!!

I was able to get a loan before from GE Money when I was still working for Dell Intl. Services. It is actually offered to employees with at least 1-year of employment. They'd give loan at a smaller interest. I resigned after 1-month when the money was released so I decided to return it instead of paying it with the original interest rate which is almost double of the discounted rate.

Since I was approved before I decided to reapply with the same bank. 3 weeks later after the submission of requirements, I did not hear from them. I called their hot line and I find out that they don't have a record of my application. Waaaa!.... so I am waiting for nothing.

I will try my luck with Citifinancial. I checked online and it says there that you can get the result in as fast as 24-hours. For Citibank credit card holders the only requirements are copy of the latest 2 months of your credit card bill and a photo copy of the card. I will try to go there maybe later this morning or within the week.

Broken Camera

It was a Sunday and it's our family day.  Most of the time after attending church service in CCF Alabang we would eat somewhere usually Jollibee (my little boy's favorite) and stroll in the mall.  I decided to bring my camera that day so that I can take pictures of us.

My mom, who always attends church with us, said we could visit Pag-ibig even on Sunday, so that we can see the house improvement loan being offered by the subdivision where I bought a house.  Their office is in Baclaran.  We rode a jeep going there and because we are on a hurry we did not notice that the jeep's signboard is not Baclaran Coastal.  The travel is longer in the middle of the hot sun and to our catastrophe, the jeep also have a flat tire.  It did not stop to have it vulcanize but I think we stop for at least 5 times to put air in it. Haaaysss @_@!

After I think an hour of travel or more we arrived in Baclaran.  Engr. Raven showed us different plans and designs that can be down in our house.  It also includes some sample pictures.  It was very interesting.  My husband and I like the idea of having one room in the atique and extend the kitchen.  We might apply for this house improvement and by God's blessing hope to move there by next year. Yehey!

After that we went to SM Mall of Asia.  The place is too crowded as usual because it's a weekend.  We decided to stop by at Pizza Hut and have something to eat.  While waiting for our table I took my camera out.  Too my surprise the LCD is broken! I can't believe it because I actually used it last Friday and I don't remember any incident that my camera falls or something.  The LCD is so bright that you can't see image on the screen and there were some lines.  My camera has a hard casing as well to protect it. Huhuhu!

I bought the camera as a gift to myself last Christmas and I am still paying for it.  I think it does have a 1-year warranty so I will bring it to Casio Service Center, which is very very far from our home.  When I look in the box their service center is in Quezon City.... waaaaaa.  I hope they would fix my camera under the warranty.  It quite saddened my weekend. :-(

Ted Failon: A Sad Story

I don't watch TV nor listen to news on the radio. My life revolves at work, playing DOTA, blogging and spending time with my family. So I heard the news only yesterday of what happened to Ted Failon's wife. We were driving home from work when Lyndon, my officemate, turned on the radio and the news was about Ted Failon.

He told me that Ted's wife killed herself because of financial reason. Ted did not finished his radio show that day and went home. Their bathroom was locked when he came and when he open it he saw her wife bathing on her own blood. Her wife left a letter to Ted asking for forgiveness. In the news, it was mention that the policemen mistreated Ted.

Upon hearing some of the details, I told Lyn, I would never commit suicide no matter what. Whatever happen worse comes to worse, I would never kill myself.

This is really a sad story. I am softhearted and it makes my heart cry whenever I hear stories like this. Losing someone you love is very painful. I pray to God to give them comfort especially the kids.

Brunch in North Park Alabang Town Center

It's pay day and my friends at work talked about food as always and decided to eat breakfast somewhere. I said breakfast because its about 8am in the morning. At first we are not decided where to eat. I even thought it would end up to nothing because we don't know where to go. Then we decided to go to North Park in Alabang Town Center, which is very much in favor to me, Lyndon and TL Mel because it is near our home. All the way from EPZA Rosario Cavite off we go to ATC.

The travel time was paid off with the yummy food that we ordered. If my memory is right we ordered 2 plates of yang chow, 2 salted garlic squid, mushrooms and brocolli, lemon chicken, 2 lechon macau, siomai and 2 fresh prawn dumplings. It sounds like a lot just for the 6 of us (me, Lyndon, Mel, JC, Vic and Judy) but we were able to finish everything.

Yang Chow Fried Rice (good for 3 persons)

Salted Garlic Squid

Lemon Chicken

Lechon Macau

Fresh Prawn Dumplings

The food is quite expensive but its worth it. My 6months belly felt like almost 8months hehehe. Anyways after eating they have their usual "yosi break." Then I decided to go ahead and I left them their. Its already 11am and I'm so full that I can no longer eat when I came home so I consider that meal as "brunch" (breakfast and lunch). It was really fun eating with friends.

Pregnant Women with RH Negative Blood Type

I just visited my OB yesterday and I was asked again to verify my blood type if indeed it is RH negative. This is my second pregnancy and I remember with my first baby, she injected me a medicine for this reason. The medicine, just like the blood type, is very rare to find. We were able to bought it before from Makati Medical Center, its quite expensive though. I did not really pay attention to it before but since I need to undergo the same process I did a little research on how it would affect me and my baby.

We are all familiar with the blood type ABO but our blood also have RH Factor. Most common is RH positive. 15% of the world's entire population are RH negative which is mostly Europeans. Only 3 in every 1000 Asians have this blood type, probably from a remote European ancestors. (And wow! I am one of them.)

Below explain how can it affect pregnant woman.

If a woman has Rh negative blood and the man has Rh positive blood, then it is possible for problems to arise.

Note: Rh Disease can only occur in women that have Rh Negative blood.

Note: If both the mother and baby are Rh negative, then there is no risk.

Note: If both the mother and natural father are Rh negative, then there is no risk because the child must also be Rh negative. However, most doctors prefer to presume that all Rh negative women are at risk and will treat her accordingly.

If an Rh negative woman has a baby that is Rh positive, then it is possible for some of the baby's blood to enter into her system. This can happen under several circumstances:

  • during the birth,

  • naturally (between 28 weeks and delivery),

  • during an amniocentesis,

  • at an abortion,

  • when a miscarriage occurs.

If the baby's Rh positive blood enters a mother who is Rh Negative, then her immune system

sees the cells as 'incompatible' or 'foreign' and will subsequently produce anti-rhesus antibodies to try to destroy them for her own self-protection.

This may not seem like a big problem, however, if she has another pregnancy where the baby is Rh positive, then these antibodies that have formed will pass into the baby's bloodstream via the placenta and attack the red blood cells of the baby.

Once these naturally created anti-rhesus antibodies are present in the mother's bloodstream, they will remain for life in the same way as antibodies for other chicken pox for example.

Wooden Twin Size Bed

Last February I was able to find an affordable house that my family can afford to pay.  It is near our current house in Molino.  The subdivision is called SummerPointe and I was hoping we can move there by next year.  One of my plan before moving is to look for a wood furniture.  I saw this wooden Twin Size Bed which really caught my attention.

The size of the bed is  81" L x 45" W which is enough for me and my husband.  Our house is not that I big that's why I prefer this.  I like its elegant look and I believe this is durable because it is hand crafted and made by cedar woods.  Having these would give our bedroom a feel of nature. I hope I would be able to save money for this and other house furnitures.

SSS Maternity Computation

3 more months and I am about to give birth. I was trying to search online on how to compute for the SSS benefit and I found this site. Hope this helps to all of you pregnants out there. I am not sure if this is up to Date because it was posted in the forum in 2oo7.

Reminiscing RAN ONLINE

While browsing in my folders I bumped into some screenshots of my shaman in RAN ONLINE. I used to play this but I got tired of leveling up. I only play this during my day offs and I used to buy load worth P100 to buy items like tele card, clothes, etc. What makes the game fun actually is meeting friends all over the country. I missed those days while chatting with friends and fighting with those arrogant players. I can actually play online for 24hrs , I remember an instance where I fall asleep while playing and I woke up with no more team and my shoes is missing wahehehe.

Most of the time if you do a search over the internet some of the results are from post of millions of bloggers out there. I really don't like writing and I'm not that good at it I should say. But what got me engaged about blogging is my best friend, Annette. I enjoyed reading her blogs because it keeps me up to date of what is happening to her although we don't have continous communication.

Well, one day she is asked me for a good bank to open an account. I asked her why and to my surprise she said she would like to have an account where to deposit her earnings from blogging. That caught my attention. I used to spend a lot of my hours playing online games and she said why don't I spend my time instead creating my own blog and earn money at the same time.

So you asked how do you get paid to blog? Well its through blog advertising. You can get paid by making a post to promote a certain item, company, website etc. There are a lot of affilliates whom you can join and one of the easiest and has a very user friendly site is http://www.payingpost.com/.

If you have a blog in English language and is atleast 90 days old with 20 pre-existing posts written in the 90 days prior to registration then you're already eligible. Register now or start making you own blog and be part of payingpost.

tWibbles Collector Card

One day while I am removing trash of receipts and papers in my wallet I saw this tWibbles Collector Cards. I have two of these, Clippety (a brown horse) and Buckey (a offwhite hare).

Clippety Card

Buckey Card

tWibbles is a Friendship Collectible item. It comes with identical pair of small keychain like stuff toy and a collector's card. You keep one and trade one to your friend. I remember I got this from Toy Kingdom in SM Southmall while my bestfriend, Annette, and me are strolling in the mall. Its on sale and I think we got it for only P50 , hehehe.

Both of us buy one and trade our twibbles, I can't remember which one I bought, Clippety or Bucket. I have them on top of our refrigerator still inside the box and everytime I see it, it reminds me of my best friend. I tried visiting their site which is www.twibbles.com but the website is no longer valid.

Baby Name for a Girl

One of the exciting part of having a baby is thinking for the baby's name. It is quite crucial because that will be the name of your child for life. There are a lot of reasons why a parent choose a certain name. Some prefer to have a junior, some uses the name of their favorite artist or popular person, some wants something unique etc.

For me, I want my child to use the first initial of my name and my husbands name. My name starts with letter 'D' and my husband is letter 'R'. Our first son's name is Ron David. Aside from our initials, his grandmother requested for a bible character name.

I already have a name that starts with the letter 'D' for our baby girl. I've chosen Danielle. Before we find out the gender of our baby I already have Daniel in my mind. I said whether my baby is a girl or a boy I would use that. I even said that I would not change the spelling. But my mom and bestfriend told me that if its a girl then the spelling should be Danielle, so be it. I still have 3 months to think for her name that would start with letter 'R'. My husband is thinking of Raine but we are not yet decided. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Lunch in Tagaytay

Sometimes we make a plan to go somewhere. Everything is already settled when all of the sudden it will be cancelled. Then there are some cases that you don't have any plan at all then off you go to somewhere. This is what happen to us last Tuesday.
I was on my way home from work when my husband called me. He said my mom is inviting us to have lunch in Tagaytay. Even though I don't have sleep yet and will need to go to work that same night I decided to go.

There is no occation or any event, my mom just thought why don't we bring our lunch and eat in Tagaytay. With my dad's toyota hi-ace off we go to Tagaytay. Our plan is just to look for a place where there is a good view and eat our packed lunch.

We bought some junkfoods and softdrinks at 7-11 and on the way we saw this table for rent with a good view of Taal.

Our packed lunch is only rice and fried chicken. My mom decided to buy inihaw na tilapia, fried breaded tawilis and ofcourse bulalo. It was a heart warming lunch, we have an outstanding view of Taal and I am with my family accompanied by the cool breeze of Tagaytay.

Visit to Manila Ocean Park

My sister-in-law, Rowena, invited my son , David, to visit Manila Ocean Park last March 22. She said Robin and I could come but we need to buy our own ticket. It would cost P400 each plus food and transportation which would ruin my budget so I told Robin we can visit it next time.

It was Sunday morning and David is excited to come with his Tita Weng. They will attend to a different church so I made David took a bath and put on his clothes to go to church with his Tita and then went straight to Ocean park. Robin and I left earlier than them because they are still waiting for RA, Robin's nephew.

We attended 12 o'clock service in CCF Alabang. I was looking forward to Ptr. Joby sermon on chapter 2 of Habakkuk. After the praise and worship I noticed that I have 9 text messages and a lot of missed calls. It was from Weng asking us to come with them since RA will not be able to come. I asked Robin to give Weng a call. We then left the church and went to ATC (Alabang Town Center) to meet them. Weng will pay for everything so I don't need to worry about my budget.

We rode a bus going to Lawton and drop off at Kalaw. The driver said we could take a walk to reach Ocean Park. Waaaaaa, it was a very long walk and the sun is too hot. David due to excitement did not feel irritated at all.

I already saw the pictures of it on the internet so I was excited to see the different sections of the oceanarium which are Agos, Bahura, Laot, Kalaliman, Buhay na Karagatan (this is the 25meters tunnel which is the main attraction of the place), Pagi and Pating. Since our visit is not a plan I was not able to bring my camera. I will asked Weng for a copy of the pictures and I will make another post about our visit.
